6. Enter the following:
IP address: 192.168.197.XXX
Subnet mask : 255.255.255.0
Note:
XXX refers to the PC/node number. This number must be
unique.
Refer to Appendix A.
7. Verify the correct IP and click OK.
8. Turn ON the PLC training kit and connect the serial programming
cable from PC to PLC.
9. Run CX-Programmer. Open new project and configure device
type and network type. Refer to PLC CPU unit for device type and
use SYSMAC WAY as the network type.

15. Find the node address number as specified at the cover of the
ETN-21 unit (Hardware switch on the PLC). The Value is in
Hexadecimal.
16. Write down the value (in hexadecimal) of the ETN-21 node
address number here:
____________________________________________________________
17. Convert the value of node address number to decimal and write
the value here:

18. Check also the setting of Unit Number hardware switch.
Write the value here:
_______________________________________________________________
19. The IP address of the Ethernet unit is given by 192.168.197.YYY
and the subnet mask is 255.255.255.0. ( YYY refers to the
decimal value of the ETN-21 node address number)
1. Enter the above IP address and subnet mask. Then select
Transfer to PLC.
2. After the transmission is finished successfully, close the window
and Off line the PLC.
3. At your PC, go to Stat menu > run and type cmd
4. Select OK. A WINDOW DOS pop up. Type ping
192.168.197.YYY
5. If there is a reply, it means that the communication PC to PLC is
established.
