SerpiMastic High-Temp Asbestos EncasementCoating is a high solids, water based, highperformancemastic coating. SerpiMastic driestoatough,weather-resistantprotectivecoatingthat provides high temperature, high impactprotectionforasbestos,cementasbestosboardand thermal/insulations on boilers, pipes andducts.
SerpiMastic’s one coat system saves valuabletimeandgreatlyreducescostswhencomparedto removal and re-insulation of pipes andboilers. Serpimastic, when heated, forms aceramic refactory shield thatwill resist smokeandfireupto1300oF(1092oC).

SerpiMastic is a water-based coatingmaterial.Coatingapplicationthickness,temperatureandhumidity will affect drying rate. Drying timecan beminimized by applying several thinnercoats,with24hoursdryingtimebetweeneachcoat.SerpiMasticTrowelablecanbeapplied ina single application up to 500mils (12.7mm)thickwithoutcrackingorshrinking.

Donotaddwater.Keeplidonuntilreadytouse.Stirthoroughly.Donotmixwithanyothercoatings,solventsorcolorsinoil.Applyonwhenairandsurfacetemperaturearebelow40°Fand90°F.Donotapplywhendryingconditionsarepoor.Useadequateventilationduringapplication.Storeinadryplaceattemperaturesbetween40°Fand90°F.
Approvedrespiratorsmustbeusedtopreventinhalationofasbestosfibersthatmaybepresentintheair.Protectiveclothingshouldbeworn.
AllasbestosabatementactivitiesmustbeperformedinaccordancewithallapplicableregulationsincludingEPA,OSHA,Federal,StateandLocal.Formoreinformationalwayscontacttheappropriateagenciespriortobeginninganyabatementproject.
