Term 2, Week 1 Parent Note
In this pack you will find learning activities that your child will need to do every day and ones that can be done over the week. We encourage that all activities in this pack are completed by the end of the week to the best of your child’s ability. We understand that you are probably needing to juggle more than one child, internet/device demands, work obligations and life! Setting yourself a family timetable allocating particular times for learning activities, wellbeing tasks and fun stuff may be helpful. This does not need to reflect the 9am – 3pm timetable of a classroom. Instead can be spread out through the day in order to make it more manageable. For example you can complete your reading in the morning and then sight words after lunch. Whatever is easiest for you and your family. Please enjoy this time being the key person in helping your child learn but remember you can email any of the classroom teachers for help and support. We are all in this together!! When you see this symbol it means your child will need to watch a video that is either one of the prep teachers explicitly teaching or a link to a song on YouTube.
When you see this symbol you are able to scan the QR Code on your chosen device via the camera to get direct access to the appropriate video. Before you start the learning activities this week, please watch the following check in video from the Prep Teachers!

Model how this reminds you of a past celebration. E.g. This gift (paw patrol doll) reminds me of my 5th birthday. I had a Paw Patrol cake and my nanny came over. We sung the birthday song. E.g. This photo reminds me of Christmas at my Aunty’s house. We had a BBQ for lunch and swam in the pool.
