5. CONSTRUCTION
• DANGOTE PROJECT EXECUTION STRATEGY
Own EPC Contractor to eliminate excessive contingency provisions,
huge country risk premium usually associated with Nigerian Capital
Projects, Control Contractors’ Profit, and Streamline Insurance.
Procure most construction equipment to eliminate excessive
equipment contract charges and/or rental charges, and to guarantee
availability and reliability.

• CIVIL CONSTRUCTION
Piling and foundation construction progressing round the clock seven
days a week

• Tankage erection has commenced also by multiple contractor.
• Mechanical erection will commence in June/July starting with CDU and RFCC
Blocks
Multiple erection contractors will be engaged
22,000 man housing units in Dangote Free Zone are being erected near the
works and are being free-issued to the contractors to provide accommodation
for critical staff of different categories near the job sites.

6. LOGISTICS
• Crude Oil feedstock will be delivered to Refinery by sea only while products will be
distributed via onshore and marine routes.
• Logistics facilities readiness is therefore of obviously significant interest and concern to
various stakeholders.
• Construction of marine facilities has commenced and will be completed within next 12
months
• Geotechnical survey of Lekki Lagoon is imminently being initiated for identification of
safe channels for barge traffic of truck ferries

Training of Nigerian Operating Staff commenced up to 900 Graduate Engineers and
Technicians will be so trained
Engagement with UOP, Managing Process Licensor, for coordination of development
of Commissioning and Start-up Procedures and training of certain key Operating Staff.
