A long time ago, speculoos was a traditionnal biscuit in form of Santa Claus (St. Nicolas in Belgium). Now Belgian people eat it any time. We find it in ice-creams or with chocolate, and since 2008 it has been available as spread paste.
Speculoos is crunchy and brown.
