Object of research: professional development teachers of physical education.
Subject of research: professional development teachers of physical education as health educators in Ukraine
Research goals – to study features of health education in school by teachers of physical education.
Research methods: theoretical analysis and synthesis of literature resourses.

The issue of pupils' health, healthy lifestyles and health foundations series are presented in the works of

The problem of lack of health education and healthy lifestyles studied in works of

The question of teachers’ training of health education explores in works of

The issues of healthy lifestyle means physical education students are presented in research of

Analysis of literary sources on the theme of research shows a row of contradictions in the system of
physical education:
• between the presence of scientific - theoretical acquisitions, and practical experience, far of geared-up teachers from physical education and absence of positive result in a context «physical education - health of children»
• between the objective requirements of society in specialists, capable skilled to carry out health activity and by the low level of base health education as a meaningful component of professional preparation;
• between a requirement in skilled, professional teachers, geared-up to health education, and real teachers of physical culture, which have not a good practical experience of healthy way of life forming
The reasons for poor health education in Ukraine:
• lack of understanding toward the competence of PE teachers as a complex phenomenon that has great potential for improving the quality of pupils' health;
• absence of substantial and methodological aspects in health education of PE teachers;
• problem with the development of healthy lifestyle habits in the school environment.
Future goals in research
• to study possibilities for teachers of physical education to get acquainted with a method of life skills that will help them to promote an own competence in realization of health education in school;
• to develop and test the program of training future teachers of physical education to formation of life skills in school by facilities of physical education
