To: -‐ Participants to the courses; -‐ Faculty members; -‐ Members of the Swiss Society of Clinical Neurophysiology; -‐ Members of the Swiss Society for Ultrasound in Medicine, Vascular Section Dear colleagues, For those of you who will participate to the 4th Annual Course of the Academy as participant or as faculty, you shall find below and on the web site of the SSCN www.sgkn.ch the final program of the three courses:
Electroencephalography, Electroneuromyography and Neurosonology,
and the map locating the classrooms in the Inselspital, Berne. As the course takes place in Berne, most of you will be able to return home to overnight. Participants needing to stay overnight in Bern must care for their accommodation. Participants and general information The courses are intended primarily for residents and fellows during their year of Clinical Neurophysiology, however technicians, senior neurologists and foreign MDs involved in Clinical Neurophysiology are also welcome. From the fist edition that took place in 2011, courses have been progressively modified to follow the suggestions of participants and teachers. This year again, the Neurosonology course will gather teachers and members of both societies SSCN and the SSUM. Dr G. Kägi, Prof. P. Lyrer and Prof. B. Weder have organized an attractive course that complies with the wishes and rules of the two societies. Dates and classrooms Courses will take place in March and April 2014 on Fridays and Saturdays: -‐ Electroencephalography on March 7-‐8 / Kursraum 103 Frauenklinik; -‐ Electroneuromyography on March 14-‐15 / Kursraum 103 Frauenklinik; -‐ Neurosonology on April 4-‐5 / Kursraum D517 Polikliniktrakt 2. Certificate Participants and faculty members remaining during the course will receive a certificate of attendance attesting of 16 credits / course.
Lunches: participants and faculty will be welcomed at the restaurants of the Inselspital for the lunches (included in the application fee). Goal of the Course -‐ to improve basic knowledge and training in neurophysiology; -‐ to prepare for the annual exams; -‐ to give the opportunity to teachers and experts to exchange with participants; -‐ to standardize teaching methods and requirements in Switzerland. Language Courses will be held in English to accommodate the majority of participants. Cost (unchanged) -‐ CHF 300.00 for SSCN and SSUM members, for residents having undertaken the formalities to become members of the SSCN; -‐ CHF 600.00 for non-‐members of the SSCN or SSUM.
