economic development.
The importance of Information and Communication Technology inthe present times can hardly be over emphasized, and we areaware of its tremendous potential as a means of progress andprosperity for our country. Knowledge has become the mostimportant contributor to economic development
The productivity of a nation or productivityof an individual enterprise is based on acombination of qualified human resourcecapital and technology. Those who are moretechnically sophisticated will alwaysoutperform those who are relatively laggingbehind. When people adopt newapproaches, they are able to find timelysolutions to the problems that would haveotherwise taken a long time to solve.Education and knowledge accumulationmake effective use of the ubiquitouscomputer. We have to keep abreast of theconstant changes and developments in ICTto make meaningful and effective use of thecomputational power and the rapid flow ofinformation. Emphasis in higher educationon developing an interface betweenresearch and industry and on institutionaldevelopment always yields fruitful results. We aim at maximizing the resourceutilization, training of manpower andinteraction with the industry in thesetechnologies to benefit the economy of ourcountry.
