Adver1sing typesThere are three ways in which sponsor-‐backed items can appear in our newsleUers in 2015. Not all are available on every publicaNon:
1. Primary sponsorships A sponsor receives a full sized link, along with company name, image, and descripNon text. This looks like our typical content but is marked as sponsored. It has the biggest impact of all the unit types. !Basic spec: Image, plus up to 80 character Itle, up to 300 characters descripIve text.
2. Sponsored links A sponsor receives a single link that blends in with other items in an issue, but is marked as sponsored. Some descripNve text can be included if it would improve engagement. Basic spec: Up to 72 character Itle, up to 100 characters descripIve text. !
Full specificaIons are at hAps://cooperpress.com/specs.html
Note: In 2014, we had a “secondary sponsorship” unit but this has been replaced by the new “sponsored link” unit above.
3. Job lis8ngs Solely for companies offering jobs (full-‐Nme, part-‐Nme, or freelance OK) or promoNng job-‐related services of interest to developers. !Basic spec: Up to 72 character Itle, up to 200 characters descripIve text.

2015 Q1 & Q2 Rate Card
Rates are per issue, valid on reservaIons submiAed before February 2015. VAT is applicable to orders within the EU (but will be zero-‐rated for non-‐UK B2B sales).
For any order that includes 2 or more primary sponsorships or 2 or more job lis<ngs, an immediate 5% discount can be made to the respec<ve rates above. Sponsored links are at a flat, fixed rate.
A discount of up to 15% may be available for regular sponsors with sizeable orders placed each/most quarters across certain Itles. Please enquire.
“Typical” clicks indicated are ranges that roughly 80% of campaigns are within. Some go higher, some lower. No figures for sponsored links yet as they are a new form of unit, but esImates could be provided. Experiments show an extra 15-‐20% clicks come through untracked routes, such as our Web archives and RSS feeds so these numbers are conservaIve.
