Introduction
Pitch of the demonstration : Your representatives that are equipped with SalesForce.com lightning
edition too save time as they need to have a pop up when a call is presented on their phone and can click
to call from a salesforce.com contact page.
You want to have a cost-effective solution avoiding any on premise server nor buying any license,
compatible with Oxe and Oxo Connect
Technically:
That is a pure cloud solution.
Request the service to ALE to get the salesforce.com openCTI deployment guide and the access to the
Rainbow widget.
The target of this demonstration is to show the interaction between the end-customer and an advisor, in
the context of salesforce.com for:
- Bank - Transportation - Healthcare - Hospitality - Industry
It is the opportunity to demonstrate the power of the Rainbow API as the communications services are
proposed through a salesforce portal integration. It demonstrates the CPaaS (Communications Platform
as a Service) capabilities of the Rainbow solution.

How to obtain access to the Demo?
The process for access is as follows:
1. When on the eDemo Rainbow CTI connector for Salesforce.com dedicated booking web page (http://edemo.al-mydemo.com/?page_id=3232):
- fill in the required fields (marked with a *)
- the calendar can help selecting the requested demo timeslot
- a 2 working days delay shall be considered for validation
- “Email” and “ALE email contact” information may be the same if the demo is requested by an ALE employee, or different if the demo is requested by a non ALE employee.
- The “Zone” in which the demo will be run (EMEA, APAC, NAR, CALA) is needed to allocate the relevant support for the demonstration
- Click on the “Submit” button
Once your request is approved, you will receive an email including links to the demo and accounts and
passwords to access the demo:

When you book a customer facing demo and if it is the first time you will do the demo, it is strongly
recommended you book an additional and prior demo training timeslot in order to validate that you are
able to connect to the demo platform, do the demo and deliver the associated key message.

How to setup the Demo?
1) Connect the rdp
Start by connecting the rdp
Preparation Connect the remote desktop. You will find
• the Chrome to launch salesforce.com
• the IPDSP associate with your SF and Rainbow user
• the thunderbird to access user mailbox to retrieve SaleForce.com security code
Launch chrome that includes SalesForce.com url and login the SF user.
SF can request a security code that you will retrieve in thunderbird.
When you launch thunderbird you connect the SF user mail account and retrieve the SF mail including
the security code.
When logged in SF, launch the IPDSP and log in the Rainbow widget
Check the the phone number is present, if so you can demonstrate.
Demo pop up and the creation of a new contact Call with you mobile the user Rainbow by calling +33 298 020 450, select the language and dial the IPDSP
phone number 33674
SF pop up a new contact page create as the mobile is used for the first time with the demo. If that has
been already used the SF contact page will popup.
Update the name and set the phone number from phone to mobile.
Give a correct name surname and move the number to mobile to demonstrate that we look up the
phone number contact as the mobile to pop up
Demo click to call Find your created contact
And click to call your mobile
Demo pop up a created contact Call with your mobile the SF user and demonstrate that the contact provided in SF is the one created
previously based on mobile number.
The plus of the demo With your rainbow account search for Dunbar, invite him, chat and run a call via Rainbow.
End the demonstration.
