Thisisapositivegroundeffect!Itisnecessarytouseeitherbattery,apowersupplywithisolated9vsuppliesliketheVoodooPedalPoweroravoltageconverterliketheRoadRagetopowertheeffect.CurrentdrawisverylowwithoutanLED,soabatterywilllastaverylongtime.

Thestockinputcapis5n.TheseareprettyhardtocomebyintheStates.Youcansubeithera4n7or5n6initsplace.IfyourDMMhasacapacitancemeasurefeature,youcouldpickupafew5n6andtrytofindonethatmeasurescloserto5n.

C2canbeplacedinparallelwithC1viatheT/Mswitch.ThevalueyouchooseforC2hasadirecteffectonwhatrangeoffrequenciestheboostisappliedto.Thelargerthevaluethemorerangeavailable.Notethattoohighofavaluemaycausesomeflabbinessinthebottomendoftheguitar,so10nto22nissuggested.

Allofthecapshaveextrapadssothatyoucanuseeitheraxialorradialtypecapacitors.Theleadspacingfortheradialpadsis5mmforfilm,and2.5mmforelectrolytic.Foraxialfilm,thespacingisabout18mm.Foraxialelectrolyticitis20mm.
