Lake Norman FactsBuilt between 1959-1964, Lake Norman covers 32,510 acres at full pond, is 34 miles long and 9 miles wide, and is 130 feet at its deepest point. Lake Norman is part of a chain of eleven lakes sourced by the Catawba River, which originates in the North Carolina mountains.
With more than 10 turf and grass soccer fields and 16 baseball & softball fields, Mooresville hosts a variety of sporting tournaments year round.
