01.INSURANCE ID
T he purpose of insurance is to make insureds and savers feel calm by being present when things go wrong, compensating the damages
incurred or providing the necessary service to repair them. As such, every hour, insurance returns 5.4 million euros to the more than 15,000 customers who have had an unexpected problem in those 60 minutes alone. Insurance takes care of breakdowns,
accidents, various business problems; and protects people's lives from start to finish. From an economic point of view, the insurance activity is 5.3% of the Spanish GDP, but, in reality, it is much more. The trust it brings is essential for consumption and investment.

02.CORPORATE RESPONSIBILITY AND SUSTAINABILITY IN INSURANCE
Insurance is aware of its social responsibility and this is something that the numbers show by themselves. 85% of insurers have structured Environmental,
Social and Governance (ESG) corporate responsibility policies through which they contribute 112 million euros to projects for the improvement of society.
But there's more. Responsible social management begins with oneself and, therefore, many of their efforts are devoted to taking care of their workers who, in turn, devote part of their time to volunteer work.

The most popular insurance policies are present in 97% of households. Only one in every 33 households in Spain has no insurance. Spanish
people invest €4.50 of every €100 euros they earn to protect themselves, their homes,
their vehicles, etc. The most common combination taken out by families is motor and home insurance, but this varies a great deal according to region.

04.LIFE INSURANCE
Life insurance helps us to build our future with savings products adjusted to our needs and, at the same time, takes care of us when we are faced
with unexpected situations in life. More than 9 million Spaniards have already entrusted to life insurance 180 billion euros, which are the hope of their future. Meanwhile, more than 60,000 families who
suffer the tragedy of an unexpected death every year balance their economic situation thanks to life insurance. Of these, around 4,700 are families that are not subject to the risk of losing their home because they still have an outstanding mortgage. Insurance compensation makes it possible to pay for the loan.

05.MOTOR, A WORLD OF SERVICES
Having a private vehicle has many advantages in terms of mobility but also causes many headaches when something goes wrong.
Luckily, motor insurance today is a large scale raft of services and proven efficacy. It
aims to address the consequences of road traffic incidents on people, vehicles and objects. Given the number of vehicles on the road, it is an activity that never stops.

06.TAKING CARE OF THE MOST VALUABLE THING, HEALTH
Health matters a lot to us, and this is clearly reflected in Spain's health insurance data. This insurance is increasingly widespread in our
society and currently serves 12 million customers. 10 million of these have health services. Therefore, one in five people has
healthcare insurance brought by individual or group policies. What's more, more and more companies offer this type of insurance as a social benefit for their workers.

07.PROTECTING HOMES AND BUSINESSES
Every day of the year, just a few seconds pass between each mishap that occurs in a home, an industry, a business, etc. And property insurance
is there to resolve it. The so-called multi-risk insurances cover a wide range of risks, for both damages and civil liability. Of all the incidents that a property goes through,
the most frequent are leaks (one every 14 seconds). But it's not the only one or the most expensive. By means of service capacity, property insurance provides certainty to families in their homes, and to companies in their headquarters and facilities.

08.WHEN SADNESS INVADES EVERYTHING
Burial services insurance has a deep-rooted history in Spain. Almost half the Spanish people have this insurance. Around three out of every
five funeral services that take place in Spain are taken care of by insurance. An insurance
that provides the relief of not having to deal with paperwork and negotiations at a time when sadness invades everything. An insurance that knows to be there when it is needed the most and that took care of more than 275,000 burials this year.

09. 10.AN INSTITUTIONAL INVESTOR WHO FINANCES THE COMMON GOOD
SOLVENCY,THE INVISIBLE GUARANTEE
In addition to paying benefits to claimants, insurance is a first level institutional investor. As an investor, its unequivocal vocation is for the long-term and highly
rated issuers, which makes it a source of financing for the most efficient and necessary players of the economy. In fact,
insurance, as an investor, has a very special appetite for an investment that is benefitial for all: public debt. Every day, every hour, insurance finances infrastructures, schools, hospitals and other public expenditure items. Insurance invests for the benefit of all.
Solvency is a topic never or rarely talked about. However, without it, the insurance guarantee, especially for long-term products, would not exist.
Solvency is the hidden, or solient force used by insurance companies to ensure that they fulfil their commitments. Insurance clients not only want their insurer to be solid and capable now, but to remain so in the future,
when they continue to have needs that must be fulfilled by their insurance. Insurance solvency is what guarantees that stability over time, that present and future solidity. Solvency is the guarantee that shows that what works today will continue to work within three days, three months, or 30 years.

12.LEADERS OF QUALITY EMPLOYMENT
The insurance industry provides some of the highest quality jobs. This is demonstrated in the sta-bility of its contracts, high payroll,
equality policies, commitment to people
with disabilities, etc. The insurance indus-try is increasingly committed to an egali-tarian and sustainable society and, there-fore, generates policies that favour the welfare of its workers.

13.MEDIATION, THE ADDED VALUE OF INSURANCE
The capacity of the industry to create employment is not something that is limited to the direct workers of insurance companies.
There is also a significant volume of indirect employment related to insurance distribution. This distribution is very broad and can be done through different channels.
There are insurance mediators, which may have an exclusive relationship with an undertaking (exclusive agents) or not (associated agents), insurance brokers, bancassurance operators, internet, etc. In short, insurance reaches everywhere and does so thanks to a large network of professionals.
