ASCSC Areas of Focus
The ASCSC will Assist Students: This is accomplished by providing quality resources and staff to meet student needs. The ASCSC provide individual and group tutoring; workshops; classes; to assist stu-dents to develop the necessary skills to achieve their academic goals. The ASCSC will Empower Students: To accomplish this goal the ASCSC seeks to empower students by assisting them in de-veloping the skills and confidence necessary to succeed in an academic environment. The ASCSC will also seeks to hire, tutors who will deliver individual and group tutor-ing; classes; and services for all students. The ASCSC will Collaborate with our Partners: The ASCSC will continue to strengthen our working partnership with faculty, advisors, and staff in support of students' academic success. We will provide a positive and pro-fessional environment for collaboration; expand campus awareness of the ASCSC and our services; and develop and share our expertise.

for students and adults.
The primary purpose of the ASCSC is to increase
achievement K-12, conduct skill development,
encourage networking between the community
and CCSD, and increase family involvement in
school and community.
We will focus on graduation rate, literacy and in-
creasing proficiency in mathematics, reading, wri-
ting and science, with emphasis on 21st Century
Skills.

The Academic Support Center (ASCSC) is an academic support unit within the Community Outreach providing programs and services that include
experiences for students in classroom settings, small
group, individual, general study skills, tutoring.
2. Who can use ASCSC services?ASCSC services are open and free to all Clark County School District students and community members.
3. What kinds of services are offered by the ASCSC?The ASCSC works in a variety of ways to increase stu-dents' effectiveness as learners. Students learn how to develop basic skills, enhance advanced skills, and cope with the academic environment. The ASCSC offers tu-toring in study skills, and alternative learning .
4. How do faculty and students know what classes and workshops are being offered?Printed schedules can be found in the ASCSC Main Office or can be requested by calling 702-799-3140.
5. What does it cost? ASCSC services are free to all Clark County School Dis-trict students, faculty, and staff and thecommunity.
6. How can faculty refer students to the ASCSC?
A student with academic needs in a particular area can be sent directly to the Academic Support and Commu-
