STEP1Equipmentrequired:
ProvidedbyElexpert: • ElexpertLEDLight.(ElexpertLabel)
Tools:• Flatscrewdriver.(5mm)Wirecutter.Stripper.• Multimeter.Ladder/Lift/Crane
Safetyequipment. • Gloves,Hardhat,Harness,SafetyBoots• Cloth,Warninglabels.
STEP2Preparation
• Surveyenvironmentforpossibledangers. • Barricadeifrequiredtokeeppeopleclear.• Followthesafety/lockoutprocedure• oftherelevantcompanyinvolved.• Ifnoneexist:Switchoffrelevantcircuit–
Fixthe‘workinprogress’signthroughthe holeinthecircuitbreaker.
• Ensurethewarninglabelcannotbeaccidently knockedoff.
• WritetheinstallersCellphonenumberonthe warningsign.
• Dresssafetyequipment. • Uselift/craneoperatinginstructionoruseladder:• Erectladderatfirstlighttoberetrofit. • Placeallequipmentinworkbag. • Providetemporaryladdersupport. • Climbuptheladder,thensecuretheladder.• Checkthatthedomeandthecontrol
gearboxisnottoohot,ifso,waitforittocooldown.

• STEP3Changewiring• Openthecontrolgearbox.• Testsupplytobedead.
o Livetoneutral,LivetoEarth,NeutraltoEarth • Disconnectallexistingwirestotheexistingcontrolgear.• Coverendswithinsulationtape• orRemoveoldcontrolgearfromthecontrolgearbox.• Connectthewiresfromthelightsockettothe(+-E)230Vsupplyterminalblock.
o YellowtoLive(L).o BlacktoNeutral(N).
• Checkthatallwiresareconnectedcorrectly. • Closethecontrolgearbox.• Atavisiblepositiononthelidofthepowersupplybox,
cleanthesurfaceandstickthenewElexpertlabelontheside,thisensuresthatonlythecorrectlightsbeinstalled.
STEP4Changeglobeandtest
• Checkifoldglobeiscold.• Removeglobeandplaceinworkbag. • Wipethelightfittingwithcleancloth. • ScrewintheElexpertLEDlight.
o N.B-DONOTOVERTIGHTEN • Testthelightbyswitchingonandoff.• Ifanyproblems,re-checkallconnections.• Ifstillnotworking,changeLEDlight.
STEP5Completion
• Providetemporaryladdersupport.Removeladderfix. • Getdownfromladder/scaffolding/crane. • Movetonextlight.• Whenalllightsoncircuitisdone,switchonandremove
label.• Continuewithnextcircuituntilallisdone. • Wheneverythinghasbeencompleted:
o Completecompliancecertificate.o Getcustomertosigndeliverynote. o Waitforconfirmationofpayment. o Removealloldequipment.o Takestockoffallthetoolsused.
