Earn Points As You Pay Item Eligibility Earning Rule
Reward points are earned and shown to the shopper on the web store as soon as the payment is received by the merchant.
Reward points can be earned for all items. There is no item restriction. Shoppers can also earn reward points for shipping and taxes paid.
Reward earning is based on the final order total. The shopping cart total may differ due to tax, manual coupon applied, or shipping method selection, hence the reward point earn display on the shopping cart may differ from the reward points earned after order placement.

Increase shopper loyalty with an option to add reward points. If a shopper cancels/returns any order, the CSR can manually deduct his earned reward amount.

Customers can use earned rewards as a payment method during checkout, and partial or full payment can be done. Payment by rewards are treated as Advance Payment, and the reward amount balance is reduced. Taxes cannot be paid via reward points.

Returning an Order Paid via Reward PointsIf a payment was made on a sales order through reward points, then an appropriate refund is made to the customer’s account during returns. The rest of the money can be refunded to a credit card or any other selected payment method in the return order form.
Returning an Order that Earned Reward PointsIf a sales order earned reward points, then the earned reward amount is deducted from the shopper’s account during a return.

Order paid via Reward Points integrates in back-office ERP for fulfillment.
Amount paid by Reward Points integrates as an advanced payment in back-office ERP.
The order is invoiced by the operator or a batch process. Zero value invoice is generated for amount paid via Reward Points.
Invoice for remaining amount (if order total > amount paid by reward points) is integrated back to the Manager Panel along with tracking details.
The credit card is charged for money equal to the remaining invoice total. Charged money is integrated into ERP as payment against the invoice.
Reward Points Life Cycle –Earning and Redemption
The issued reward amount to the shopper flows into Microsoft Dynamics ERP. A reward report can be used and manual entry can be done once a quarter using that report. GL entry can be made using the outstanding reward balance.
Anytime a payment made by rewards points is integrated to Microsoft Dynamics ERP, it is treated as a check payment for accounting purposes.

How Does a Refund Get Integrated?16
Refund of Reward PointsA return invoice with a negative amount is generated, reward points are refunded, and the remaining amount is refunded to another payment method used during order placement.
Online Return RequestsReturn requests paid partially or fully via reward points can be submitted online via automated checkpoint, ensuring only valid returns are submitted.
Warehouse Receives Items Returned merchandise is received in the specified warehouse. The process of receiving and inspecting the merchandise is based on the back-office Microsoft Dynamics ERP. Different ERPs provide a slightly different process for receiving returns.
