Our goal for Rise & Shine’s rebranding project is to bring in a fresh new look inside and out, to get rid of the outdated without sacri-ficing tradition, and to satisfy clientelle by engaging them in a mod-ern atmosphere.
From the young to the old, our target audience is everyone who loves breakfast and has a huge appetite. We welcome families on Sunday mornings, teenagers coming in after a long night of studying, businessmen on the run, and couples going on a date. Everyone is welcomed.
Our primary task for Rise & Shine is to keep it’s traditional roots while bring-ing it into the modern day. We want to show the restaurant’s commit-ment not only to their customers but also to local farms and businesses. Rise & Shine also believes in buying and cooking with organic and fresh produce and meat.

ResearchAs we studied Rise & Shine’s current branding, we took note of the things we wanted to keep and things we needed to update. We wanted to keep the “mom and pop” charm of the current restaurant. The things we needed to update were all exterior such as the logo, signage, colors, and menu. We pulled inspiration from other sources that we were influenced by and thought would be good for the restaurant.

This is our final logo design. The letterform is bold and large to represent the energy of getting your day started right with a good breakfast. The expression mimicks a handwritten letterform to represent familiarity and friendliness. The logo graphic represents three different things: omelletes, the sun, and the yolk spilling out of an egg.

Here are ways to use the logo for stationary, business cards, and paper goods for the restaurant. All paper products will be printed on recycled paper.
