Initiatives for Fly ash Brick Sector: Presently 25 parties lifting 18000 MT/month of f ly ash from ash silo in free of cost
for use in Fly ash brick manufacturing against only one party in last year. Fly ash is being issued within 14 days in every case after submission of application
with proper documents. 25 more parties/persons applied for fly ash in this regard are in pipeline in
different stage Application format and procedure is made available in BSPCB site for more
accessibility. Initiatives for Clay ash Brick Sector A Demonstration project for ash utilization in clay-ash brick manufacturing has
been organized to raise confidence among brick manufacturers for use of ash inbrick manufacturing and to popularise the clay ash brick in place of clay brick. Workshops for Brick kiln owners/ ash brick manufacturers for using ash in
brick manufacturing. 15000 MT pond Ash is being transported on free of cost to Brick klin.
Other Initiatives for Maximizing Ash Utilization Dedicated Road for ash transportation is constructed from NTPC gate to
Ekchari, bypassing Kahalgaon town from May-2013. Wind breaking wall has been constructed and water sprinkling is being done
on regular basis at Kahalgaon railway siding. Ash transportation in Jumbo bags directly by railway successfully done on
12.09.2013 on trial basis and now it is streamlined. It is being done by oneparty, Railway is being contacted for other parties. This process iseconomical and environment friendly
Ash Utilization through low land filling for public utility land, compilation is
