Yom HaShoah and RJC’s Family Photo Gallery The RJC community will gather for our Annual Yom HaShoah
Commemoration on Thursday, April 16th at 6PM. In addition
to our traditional memorial candle lighting and prayers, this
year's program will feature two special elements specific to our
RJC community and its survivors:
We are honored to screen Names, Not Numbers©
interviews of our own RJC members: Rabbi Ib Nathan
Bamberger, Mr. Ludwig Bravmann, Mr. Hector Goldman,
Mrs. Gerda Kahan, Mrs. Lucy Lang, and Mr. Michael
Marton (z"l).
We will inaugurate RJC's Family Photo Gallery
honoring the memories of our family members affected
by the Holocaust and WWII. It is our hope that over
time, this project will allow our entire multi-
generational congregation to connect with each other
and share collective memories of the Shoah.
PLEASE HELP US IN THIS IMPORTANT
ENDEAVOR: Please send in photos of any family
members affected by WWII - this includes families and
individuals who survived or escaped, as well as those who
were murdered, hy"d. Please include their name(s) and city
of origin, as well as your name and connection. If desired,
you may also include information about their stories. As
some of us will re-connect with family over the
upcoming Pesach holiday, this is an opportune time to
retrieve photos and information to share with our
community!
Photos and information can be sent to:
If you have photos you would like scanned, the shul office can
help! Please contact Nachshon at [email protected]

Israel Action—Encourage Senator Gillibrand to cosponsor the Iran Nuclear
Agreement Review Act of 2015 The Iran Nuclear Agreement Review Act, authored by Senators
Bob Corker (R-TN) and Robert Menedez (D-NJ), which will
reach the Senate floor for a vote in the near future, establishes a
procedure for congressional review of any nuclear agreement
with Iran. The framework agreement signed raises a number of
red flags, and on such an important matter to U.S. national
security, it is imperative that Congress weigh in on a final deal.
Please call Senator Gillibrand at (212) 688-6262 and ask her to
cosponsor the Iran Nuclear Agreement Review Act.

Mincha Gedola at Riverdale Judaica For the last five years, Riverdale Judaica has provided a service for the Riverdale community by establishing and maintaining a daily minyan for Mincha at 1:45 PM. As of late, there has been a bit of deterioration because of health problems and scheduling issues for some of the members. We encourage members of the community who can make it to attend the early Mincha whenever possible to fortify the minyan. In addition, we would like to extend the minyan to Sundays, especially during daylight savings, as there is no other venue for an early Mincha in Riverdale during these months. If you are in the vicinity on Sunday, please stop by and help establish the Sunday minyan.
NORPAC’s Annual Mission to Washington 2015 Wednesday, May 13. Join the Riverdale community members and rabbinic staff on this most important day. Visit Norpac.net or contact [email protected] for additional information.
Nonprofit Security Grant Program Security at Jewish schools and institutions in America has become an increasingly expensive problem. Most of the shuls and schools your family attends have been recipients of grants through the Nonprofit Security Grant Program (NSGP). This program, originally budgeted at $25 million per year, has been cut to $13 million this year. Please help us contact Members of Congress to support funding back to the original levels of $25 million for the NSGP. You can contact your Senators and Representative by going to the following link: https://ohsaynation.com/#!compose?t=74&campaign=1. Thank you for helping us advocate for this important program.
