Term 1 Week 4 Achieve with Pride 18th February 2020
We have had a very busy start to the year! The students and staff have their routines in place and lots of exciting learning is happening in each of the classrooms. Classes are underway with the ‘Back to the future’ project with many interesting things happening. We have also had some new furniture delivered for the classrooms thanks to Glencore Bulga Coal. They have kindly donated funds that have assisted in purchasing furniture, as well as contributing to the portable commercial kitchen that will be arriving in week 6! We are very excited to be getting this kitchen and can’t wait to start cooking as a part of our learning. This will be a great resource to integrate literacy, numeracy and other KLA’s into hands on learning.
Camp – Term 2/Week 7 (Tuesday – Friday) Please make sure you bring your expression of interest note with the $50 deposit to secure your child’s spot on the Canberra school camp for 2020. We will be hosting an information afternoon regarding camp on Tuesday 10th March (week 7) at 2:30pm. Please note, if you have any remaining balance from a previous camp, this must be finalised before your child can secure a place in this year’s camp. If you wish to begin a payment plan please pop in and see Tash.
Sporting achievement Congratulations to all of our students who attended the Singleton Small Schools Swimming carnival last week. We are very proud of all the students who participated on the day! A big congratulations to Aimee, Lexi and Olivia who made it through to Zone. Good luck!
Young Teen Talk Please return your permission notes asap. Young Teen Talk will take place on the 28th February at Singleton Public School Library.

KOALAS NEWS
The Koalas are off to a great start for 2020!
We have been learning lots of our sounds and have been using many sizzling
starts for our writing. This term we look forward to using the Department
STEM kit for virtual reality, cosmic yoga and being part of the Hot Shots Tennis
program. We are looking at Place Value in Maths and working on addition
problems. We have been learning about different types of Energy and how it
was used in the past and in the present today. Looking forward to sharing
many more activities with you throughout the Term.
Kind Regards,
Miss Smith- Koalas Teacher
