TIBCO 2019
TIBCO is one of the first exhibitions ever organized in Romania. Launched
in May 1974, the first edition of the International Trade Fair for Consumer
Goods Bucharest covered an area of 16,500 sqm and gathered exhibitors
from 11 countries. Over time, TIBCO thematic was the setting out for many
of the specialized trade fairs organized by Romexpo.
The 2019 edition of TIBCO represents the ideal platform for presenting,
promoting, selling and contracting, dedicated to manufacturers, importers
and distributors of consumer goods in Romania and abroad.
TIBCO will take place in the same period with SENIOR EXPO – Fair
dedicated to the senior generation and EXPO FUNERARE- Exhibition of
funeral products and services.

VENUE
The 36th TIBCO edition - International Trade Fair for Consumer Goods, will
take place between 30th of May – 02nd of June, 2019, in the B1 Pavilion at
Romexpo Exhibition Center, Bucharest – Romania.

– Max. height allowed for stand construction: 7 m
– the two Pavilions, B1 and B2, are united forming a

MARKET INFORMATION
The revenues of the FMCG companies in Romania increased by 26% in the
period 2008-2015, according to the study “Fast moving consumer goods
industry analysis (FMCG)" conducted by the international credit insurance
company Coface and the consulting and audit company EY, in partnership
with the Academy of Economics Studies (ASE).
To accomplish this study, Coface analyzed 95,000 companies in 2014, of
which approximately 75,000 companies were reviewed in 2016, 1850
companies being active in the FMCG representative sectors.

MARKET INFORMATION
In 2008, the total turnover of the FMCG companies was 48.4 billion lei, while
in 2015 the revenues of the analyzed companies increased to 61.2 billion lei.
Also, the study mention that ‘’between 2008-2015 years the registered
revenues increased by 26% and the number of companies dropped by 17%
confirms an increase of the level of consolidation in the market by
concentrating the revenues among the big companies, while the small firms
can not compete with the big retail chains and close their activity.’’
Thus, companies registering revenues of over 1 million euros in 2015 and
operating in consumer goods market represent 20% of the active companies
and generate over 96% of consolidated revenues.
