Holy Family Group *Upcoming Meetings Saturday’s October 26 & November 2*
Holy Family preparing for Marian Consecration! We invite all engaged or married couples to join us for our Holy Family evenings. This year, the Holy Family Group will prepare together for Marian Consecration.
You are welcome but not obligated to bring something for our potluck supper. Children are welcome. We offer faith formation programs for children while the adults have their spiritual program. Parish Census
Years ago, every parish church would conduct a semi-annual parish census by going door to door in its neighborhood and updating all the family and individual records of its members. We hope in the near future, we might be able to conduct door to door evangelization in our neighborhood. At this time, we begin our census update by asking all our members to fill out a census card. Over the next few weeks, we ask one member of each household to fill out the card that is in the
pews. Even if you feel we have your records, please fill it out. It is important for us to make sure we have the accurate information. This is the way it was always done in the parish years ago and it is every bit as important today as we live in a technological age. Even if you are a guest, we invite you to fill out a card. We can then share with you on a regular basis all that is happening at Saint Mary Parish. Thank you.

Black Catholic Revival Called to Witness *October 26, 2019*
Join us for a soul stirring time of prayer, worship and praise with Revivalist Father Warren Savage. On October 26, 2019 at 5:01-6:30pm. At Saint Katharine Drexel, 517 Blue Hill Avenue, Dorchester, MA. There will also be liturgical dance and music by two choirs. Join us for fellowship immediately after. All are welcome!!! Event hosted by Black Catholic Ministries, Archdiocese of Boston and Office for Black Catholics, Diocese of Providence.
The weekend before World Mission Sunday
Next weekend we will celebrate World Mission Sunday. Pope Francis invites the entire Church to support mission dioceses in Africa, Asia, the Pacific Islands, and parts of Latin America and Europe, where priests, religious and lay leaders serve the world’s most vulnerable communities. Please keep the Pope’s Mission in your prayers and be generous in next week’s collection for the Society for the Propagation of the Faith.
Children’s Saints Celebration
When the Saints Go Marching In!
In order to celebrate the feast day of All Saints, all our children are invited to dress up as a Saint of their choice on Sunday, November 3, for the 9:30am English Mass or the 12:00pm Spanish Mass. The children in costume will be invited to process into the Mass with the priests and altar servers. We ask families to arrive 15 minutes early for the procession. Each child will be given a placard with the Saint’s name to wear around their neck. Between the masses during the religious education hour, children are invited to remain in costume as we will be conducting lessons on the Saints. Coffee, juice, donuts and special cakes and cookies will be shared during the lessons.

Invitamos a todos los jóvenes de los grados 60 a los grados 120 que se unan a nosotros a nuestras reuniones que estaremos impartiendo para la consagración al Corazón de Jesús a través del corazón inmaculado de María. Celebración de los santos con los niños
¡Cuando los santos van marchando!
Para celebrar el día de la fiesta de Todos los Santos, todos nuestros niños están invitados a disfrazarse como un Santo de su elección el domingo 3 de noviembre para la Misa en inglés a las 9:30 a.m. o la Misa en español a las 12:00 p.m. Los niños disfrazados serán invitados a pasar a la misa con los sacerdotes y los servidores del altar. Pedimos a las familias que lleguen 15 minutos antes para la procesión. A cada niño se le dará una pancarta con el nombre del Santo para que lo lleve alrededor de su cuello. Entre las Misas durante la hora de educación religiosa, se invita a los niños a permanecer disfrazados ya que estaremos impartiendo clases sobre los santos. Café, jugo, donas, pasteles y galletas se compartirán durante las clases.

Censo Parroquial
En los años pasados todas las Iglesias conducían un semi-censo y lo hacían de puerta en puerta en todo el vecindario y ponían al día todos los datos individuales y de todos los miembros de las familias. Nosotros esperamos que en un futuro no lejano podamos evangelizar por todo vecindario de puerta a puerta. Por hoy empezaremos nuestro censo preguntando a todos nuestro miembro que llenen una tarjeta. En las próximas semanas pediremos a un miembro
cabeza de cada familia que llene la tarjeta del censo aun si ya está registrado. Para nosotros es bien importante tener la información correcta de cada familia. Llenar una tarjeta ha sido la forma como se hacho el censo en años anteriores, aunque vivamos en la era de la tecnología. Aunque si la persona es un invitado se le pedirá que llene la tarjeta del censo. De esta manera podemos mantenerlos al día compartir con todos lo que pasa en nuestra parroquia. Gracia
