We would like to invite all parishioners to help them out with this project. Items can be sent with the children to religious education classes, dropped off at the parish office or placed in the box/totes in the churches. Items needed are shampoo, conditioner, bars of soap, shower gel, deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrushes, lotions, shaving cream, razors, feminine products and diapers. Thank you for helping us provide for those who are not as fortunate as we are.

St. Mary’s will have a stewardship sign-up the weekends of March 10th & 11th and March 17th & 18th. There will be information about the different ministry opportunities within our parish. We will ask that all those who have participated in the past still turn in an updated form so that we can ensure our information is up to date. Members of the Parish Council and Staff will be on hand to answer any questions you may have about the many stewardship opportunities within our parish.

Not Having a Good Lent So Far? Try This.

There are a couple different positions to be in at this point during Lent. There's the "I really need to start doing that thing I promised to do" or the "I've lasted this long, I deserve a cheat, right?" or the one we all aspire for: "Halfway! I can do this!" There is still time to finish it well. Thankfully, Lent is six weeks! So we have time to pick up and start again when we drop off through our own weakness, forgetfulness, or carelessness. If you struggle to make the big heroic sacrifices, here are simple things that you can do each day of the week to help prepare your soul for Easter. Making different kinds of sacrifices each day, rather than a single 40-day long sacrifice, may be a better way for you to progress. Here are a few suggestion, do them in any order. On Sunday -Reading Devote a half hour or so each Sunday to simply reading Sacred Scripture in a slow, prayerful, reflective manner. On Monday-Praying Set aside a small amount of time, anywhere from fifteen to thirty minutes, to pray by yourself and in silence. On Tuesdays – Fasting Choose one day of the week to fast. Offer your sacrifice for specific intentions every time you deny your urge for food. On Wednesdays – Charitable Works of Mercy Use this day to go out of your way to care for the poor, the needy, and the lonely–even if it is something very small. On Thursdays – Eucharistic Adoration Bring all your prayer requests and the needs of your family and friends to the Adoration chapel. On Fridays – Study the Faith Start with those areas of doctrine which you need to understand better. On Saturdays – Confession & Penance Let Lent be marked by going to confession. ~ Parts taken from Magnificat The Holy Trinity Catholic Schools Foundation Board is looking to hire a Development Director. This individual will be expected to work with the Board members to grow the assets managed by the Foundation. Please email your resume to Brian Foecke at [email protected]. Resumes are due by March 15th.
