Anointing of the Sick—Anyone facing surgery or dealing with a serious illness should contact the parish office or Fr. Kevin for the reception of this sacrament. Anointing before surgery can be done prior to or after Mass on the weekends. Please call the parish office to inform us if you are in need of this sacrament.
Reconciliation—Saturday at 4:15pm or by appointment. Communal penance services are also held twice yearly.
Sacrament of Marriage—Please contact Fr. Kevin at least six months in advance to insure ample time for planning, preparation, and scheduling your wedding.
Communion to the Sick and Homebound—If you or someone you know is ill, in the hospital, or homebound, please notify the parish office so a visit can be arranged. Fr. Kevin, one of our deacons, or an Extraordinary Minister of the Eucharist will be glad to bring Holy Communion.

Rosary Group—Meets on Thursday morning after the 9:00am Mass. Join us in body or spirit as we pray. Call Helen with your intentions: 770-871-6586.
Eucharistic Adoration—First Thursday of each month devotion will commence immediately after the 9:00am Mass and continue until Benediction at 12:00pm. Our Sacristan, Helen Martin can be reached at [email protected] for more information.
Membership—Registration forms may be found at the back of the church or by coming to the church office. Please complete the form and give it to a minister of hospitality or a deacon.
Bulletin Deadline—Announcements and notices for the bulletin must be submitted by 10:00am on Monday for the following
Sunday bulletin. They will run for two weeks. Email them to [email protected]. Announcements received after the deadline will need to be modified to run in the bulletin on subsequent weeks.
Request for Mass Intentions—In our Church tradition no better gift can be given our beloved departed than a Mass offered in their memory on the anniversary of their death, birth, or wedding anniversary. There are forms for scheduling Mass intentions in memory of the departed and special intentions for the living in the pamphlet racks in the administration building.
Stephen Ministry—Are you going through a difficult time? Stephen Ministers are members of the congregation here to help you. We listen, care, encourage and provide spiritual support to people facing a crisis or going through tough times. The care you receive is free, confidential and helpful. Please consider writing Words of Encouragement to State Prisoners The St. Matthew Prison Ministry would like to share our annual outreach project with our parish family.
This project gives you the opportunity to touch the spirits of GA State Prisoners. This is a quick and sim-ple way to practice mercy.
On March 4, 5, 11, and 12, there will be volunteers at a table set up in the narthex before and after all
Masses to assist you with these notes. Your notes will be delivered to GA State Prisoners by Paul Caruso of
the St. Joseph Cafasso Prison Ministry. Thank you so much very much for your compassion and support!

Parents of LifeTeen students: Time to think about Catholic Heart
Workcamp! We are going to Charleston S. C. this year the week of July 9-15th.
There will be an informational meeting soon. A deposit of $100 is re-
quired to hold your spot, with the balance due in 2 subsequent payments
by May 1. Total cost is approx. $400 per student for the week; lodging and meals included. This is a fantastic trip with service and fun together
with Catholic teens from across the U.S. Chaperones this year will be:

an additional male chaperone and driver. If you are interested in sending

Lenten Mission at St. Gabriel Catholic Church in
Fayetteville Sunday March 5, from 6-7 pm and Mon & Tues March 6 & 7 from 7-8 pm. The Presenter will be Adam Story, Director of the Marriage and Family Life Office from the Dio-
cese of Des Moines Iowa. The theme for the Mission is “Life of Passion, Life of Love”. There is also a potluck supper in the Parish Hall (Beltran Hall) at 5 pm on Sunday prior to his talk.

Reflexiones para la Homilía
Nuestros padres y madres son muy importantes para nosotros. No podemos pensar en nuestra propia vida sin pensar en ellos y daríamos cualquier cosa por que ellos vivieran para siempre. Sabemos que harían cualquier cosa por nosotros y nuestro bienestar. Los que salimos de nuestros países con ellos, sabíamos que lo hacían por nosotros, para que tuviéramos una vida mejor. Los que emigramos como adultos, lo hicimos también por nuestros hijos. Los niños siempre tienen absoluta confianza en que su mama y su papa les darán todo lo que necesitan; por eso hoy se nos dice que tengamos esa misma confianza en el Dios que es nuestro padre y nuestra madre y que se ocupara de nosotros en todas nuestras necesidades y problemas. Eso quiere decir también que no podemos estar con Dios y con el dinero al mismo tiempo. Si la mente y el corazón están preocupados por como lograr y guardar nuestro dinero, no habrá lugar para Dios. No recordaremos las llamadas que nos hace el amor y al servicio a los demás, tan ocupados como andamos con nuestras cuentas y nuestras posesiones. Si el dinero ocupa el lugar de Dios, querremos que se nos pague por todo lo que hacemos; pero hay muchas, muchísimas cosas, que no se hacen por dinero, sino por amor. Hay misiones en la vida que no tienen nada que ver con recompensas materiales ni reconocimiento de otros, sino con la llamada de Dios a ocuparse de sus cosas y de sus hijos. Muchas veces estamos preocupados por nuestro propio futuro materia, por nuestra seguridad y por la de nuestros hijos; y ciertamente somos responsables de ellos, pero no podemos dejar que todas esas cosas ocupen el lugar al que nos llama Dios. Dios nos llama a buscar el reino primero y el reino es justicia, verdad y servicio a los demás. No se angustien por el mañana mientras están haciendo este servicio que les pide Dios; por eso también, cuando tengamos la sensación de que nuestros hijos podrían estar sintiendo una llamada al servicio de Dios en cualquier manera o forma, y temamos que les alejaría de una carrera rentable o prestigiosa, debemos considerar que Dios cuidara de ellos como una tierna madre y padre, y les dará lo que verdaderamente necesitan: ser feliz con la verdadera felicidad que proviene de estar con Dios.
