[All names are listed on “Plan of Salford Schwenkfelder Cemetery, Lower Salford Twp., Montg. Co., PA,” date unknown (probably around 1934); original at Schwenkfelder Library & Heritage Center.]
GR plate 120 includes photos (before 1923) of a grouping of tombstones of five Schwenkfelder Ministers (including immigrants E 28, E 50, E 82, & E 104), buried in the Salford Schwenkfelder Cemetery [original photos at Schwenkfelder Library & Heritage Center].
Please note that the Minutes of the General Conference of the Schwenkfelder Church for October 30, 1869, state, “that memorial stones or grave stones be placed [at the graves of] preachers buried in Lower Salford. George Meschter volunteered to take care of this and costs should be covered by congregation-wide voluntary contributions,” therefore, these are not tombstones placed at time of death. [Thank you to Dr. L. Allen Viehmeyer for translations from German]
