SCARECROW COMPETITION RULES
SCARECROW COMPETITION RULES
1. To enter the competition you must complete an entry form and return it to us at the address overleaf by Friday 2nd October 2015.
2. Scarecrows are to be on display on your property between 9am and 5pm on Friday 9th October 2015.
3. If your scarecrow will not be up until later than 9am on this date, or if you have to take it down before 5pm, please let us know the time that it will be visible by writing
this on your entry form.
4. Scarecrows should be placed in a safe location and should be clearly visible from the road. Scarecrows should be secured so that they will not blow away, and in a
position that will not cause a danger, injury, or annoyance to others.
5. Photographs will be taken of all scarecrows to assist with judging. Photographs may be published on the WCHG website or used for other purposes after the event. If you do not want your photograph to be used by WCHG please
let us know by writing this on your entry form.
6. Scarecrows on show without having an entry form submitted will not be eligible to win.
7. Scarecrows can only be entered into one category.
8. The use of tailors dummies or mannequins is not allowed.
9. The judge’s decision on the winning scarecrow for each category will be final.
10. After the event has been judged entrants are responsible for clearing away their own scarecrow.
