Blackhawk Mulcher Head Knifes Through Vegetation

Fecon’s Blackhawk knife-tool mulchinghead quickly and efficiently shreds standingvegetation and processes material on theground.Designed specifically as a knife tool

mulcher, every aspect of the Blackhawk, including rotor diameter and size, ratio ofknives to rotor, cutting chamber, even thehydraulic lines, contribute to maximize itsproduction capacity. Ideal for skid steer andcompact tracked loaders with hydraulicflows of 27 to 45gpm, this new mulcher fea-tures 30 knife tools and has a 76 in. cuttingwidth. It is an excellent tool for clearingbrush and vegetation, shredding material inwoodland urban interface zones, clearingrights-of-way, lot clearing and clean-up, sitepreparation, and more, according to themanufacturer. This optimized rotor can aggressively

shred standing vegetation as well as processmaterials already on the ground. The abilityto process already felled materials creates amore aesthetically appealing end-productand eliminates partially processed materialbeing left behind.Because the Blackhawk efficiently chan-

nels material through its cutting cycle, thereis minimal draw on the engine, resulting insignificantly improved fuel efficiency.Should a rotor stall occur, the unit willimmediately recover when extricated from

the stall-causing material and be ready to re-engage. Most of the finely chipped materialis broadcast forward of the rotor to minimizethe re-processing of already shredded mate-rial, further enhancing its efficiency andeffectiveness, according to the manufacturer.Hydraulic lines have been completely

redesigned for better flow through the

mulcher. Elimination of 90-degree bendsreduces heat buildup in the hydraulic fluid, which allows longer run times and longerservice of hydraulic components. EachBlackhawk mulcher can be fine-tuned to thespecific hydraulic output of its carrier.Adjusting hydraulic displacement of themotor to match hydraulic flow supplied

boosts the rotor performance and efficiency.Bolt-in wear parts enhance the economy

of the Blackhawk. Rugged constructionincludes 5/16 in. thick HS steel cuttingchamber with AR steel replaceable wearparts. For more information, call 513/696-4430
