STANDARDIZED PLANS - 1917 to 1940
-,
This volu=e contains the standardized plans for family
11ousing that have been identified irom the third period ofstandardization. Plan numbers that begin with OQ-, NCO-. orHSQ- have been assigned by the author. Official numbers doexist for each of the plans. however, e same design at twolocations can have different numbers. t appears that thereis a basic group of plans for each de ign. with additionalsheets that account for variations in materials or otherbuilding details. The plan number is robably a corn oaiteof numbers whose meanings are unknown. lan Type -iststhe type of quarters (officer's quarters- double set, non-commissioned officer's quarters- triple set. etc.), itssize. and the building materials used. if they are known.masic Unit*"relates the plan ,,umber to the Plan Analysis in
- Volume I. 9'Known Locations lists those Army posts wherethe plan Was known or planned to have been built but it isby no means a complete listing of the locations where aparticular design Was built. It is likely that there aremany more standard plans to be identified from this periodof standardization, more so than either of the first twoperiods.00a0000...o.......o.o...... 00000010*000001*0000 ic ci, 00101m
