• This system has been implemented in the dorms, library and ITS.
• If needed, regarding issues with Websense you should call the helpdesk. (254) 710-4357.
• Also ITS has computer repair and cleaning done at “the Workshop” located behind the main Baylor Bookstore.
• Also there is a service called ResTech, currently used in the dorms to help with technology issues, that may be extended to Graduate Student Housing.
• Study carrels in Moody Library are in short supply
• Yeas ago Dean Orr instituted the use of lockers for graduate students to place their library resources in. There is a form online to go obtain one. http://tiny.cc/rxxc5
• Dean Orr cannot add additional carrels, because there isn’t enough space.
• There are two types of Carrels: Quiet Study Carrels and Day-Use Carrels.
• There was talk of tweeking the qualifications for obtaining a carrels, because right now the rules seem limiting to the people who really need them.
• The library committee could use a graduate representative .

• Ms. Palmer came to find out what helps new teachers the most and opened the floor to discussion
• Understanding appropriate interactions with you students and how to respond correctly to their work.
• Many people feel that they are provided all the necessary teaching training in their respective departments. All else would be a drain on time.
• Core training could include some cross disciplinary ideas.• Many departments have teaching mentors who are professors. But
someone suggested that a graduate student mentor would be helpful as well.
