SETTING UP

“EMERGENCY LIFE SAVING SYSTEM”

IN MYANMAR

Myanmar needs to improve in most of the health care system .

Especially in EMERGENCY LIFE SAVING SYSTEM.

Most of the health care providers has theory knowledge only.

Not folloew/ aware of the guide lines, policy & procedure most of the time.

Facilities are not adequate.

BCLS, AED, ACLS, EMS MYANMAR

Meets twice per year / guidelines / research / collabration .

Developed countries

Set national resuscitation guidelines for all cardiac life support programs.

Maintains a registry of available CPR & AED programs, training centres and key personnel.

Co-ordinates country-wide CPR & AED training programs.

Issue cert /re- cert evey 2 years.

All health care provider must have cert to work, even Cardiologist.

BCLS & AED for public .such as of schools, hotels, swimming pool, shopping center, office, until wet market.

What can we do ? Train to practice CPR /AED.

Set up emergency trolleys in government hospitals and private hospital.

Practice resuscitation / code blue drills .

Train more paramedic/ equipment for Ambulance.

Refresh /up date every 2 years .

Can buy from USA, China and India . Cost US $ from 1000 to 3000 .“ HEARTBEAT” life help company has on line sale is only US$ 995 , 5 years warranty .Cheaper with package .

AED

To set up this life saving system in Myanmar

Ministry of health and authorize should play a big role.

To establish committee for the guidelines /protocols /rules/up date.

Train facilities/expert to teach more people .

Train to all health care providers / collages /red cross / fire man hotels / office / schools and till public gradually .

Organize reliable EMS system with, provider & full equipment.

Exam center / issue cert / renewal as a developed country

- Public also must actively perticipate, since this system is for every one in our country.

- Health education teaching should start from pre-primary

school age, as a compulsory subject . Level up, by age & standard .

MTP/MNF will collaborate with Myanmar Nurses Association ( MNA ).

Nursing training school to advice and sharing knowledge, provide facilities within affordable budget.

Organize overseas experienced healthcare staff to participate for developing the system.
