Accounts Payable – challenges of traditional approaches

identifi ed that its existing Accounts Payable process was impacting the

to automate its Accounts Payable processes, which was
aligned with Shawcor’s objectives to streamline fi nancial
processes, enhance productivity and reduce costs.

system. One person had to manually verify all the
information in our OCR system before it was sent into

electronically, regardless of whether their suppliers use

In 2017, Shawcor commenced operations on the Sur De
Texas-Tuxpan Gas Pipeline project – a 497 mile (800km)
pipeline running from the U.S. to Mexico.
As one of the largest projects ever undertaken by Shawcor,
it involved 56,400 coated pipes produced across 3 coating
sites and 3 mobile sites.
“During this project, Shawcor’s AP team processed over
10,000 invoices from more than 1,000 suppliers. Pagero’s
automated AP solution helped us maintain operational
effi ciency and contain costs, despite the large scale of
