IMAGE PERTINENCE ANALYSIS DESCRIPTION
Why is the image not pertinent for crisis production?
Pre-event data
Post event data
Pre-event situation In the Pre-event image there is a large number of wet areas along the coast
Post-event situation In the Post-event image no visible damages are detected, the only areas that are flooded are the already present wet areas
Result of analysis
The image quality has been assessed as appropriate for the Delineation analysis. In the covered area, visible flooded areas have been detected in the wet areas, susceptible to be flooded, but no impact over inhabited zones

has been detected, using the CosmoSkyMed image.
Methodology used
Semi-automatic approach.
Additional comments
The CosmoSkyMed acquisition analysed covered most part of the AOI, except the North East part of the coastal zone.
IMAGE PERTINENCE ANALYSIS DESCRIPTION
Why is the image not pertinent for crisis production?
Pre-event data compared with Post event data
In the optical image there is a few wet areas along the coast that we find flooded in the radar image. The coastline in this part appears to be non-affected by the flood.
Result of analysis
The image quality has been assessed as appropriate for the Delineation analysis. In the covered area, visible flooded areas have been detected in the wet areas, susceptible to be flooded, but no impact over inhabited zones has been detected, using the CosmoSkyMed image.
Methodology Semi-automatic approach.
