education

IN THE WHOLE WORLD:
70% of children ages 5-6 are enrolled in school
115 million primary aged children don’t go to school
More than 100 million children have no access to school
60 million of those are girls
IN THE WHOLE WORLD:
More than 960 million adults cannot read 2/3 of them are women
Only 70% of all students in public high schools graduate
Only 32% of all students that finish high school are qualified to attend four-year colleges.
646,449 children are not attending school.

The issue of limited education for all is affecting the world in two ways:
Schools standards are lowering
The level of education dropped
Many children do not have any education We have the chance to learn, explore and
do new things We have the opportunity to help these

Mercy Corps builds all girl schools in places where women can not get an education.
We chose to research FAD (Foundation for Adolescent Development)
The only educational organization in Manila
They also educate young people about alcohol and drugs.
