Campus Recruitment Training
A Ten Day Training Programme on Employability Skills,Sponsored by TEQIP-III,
JNTUH with TIME Institute as the training partner was organized for the students of
GIET from 04th
November 2019 to 18th
November 2019. Along with good technical
understanding and subject knowledge, employers often outline a set of skills that they
want from an employee. These skills are what they believe will equip the employee to
carry out their role to the best of their ability. The Objective of the Programme was to
enhance student’s knowledge, skills and attitudes, how to use those assets, and how to
present them to employers.

Solar paper Presentation & Project Exibition, held at Yenepoya Institute of Technology,

Project Expo is a technical event in which the participants should submit their project
ideas and prepare their project at home and they must bring the project to demonstrate
at the event if they get shortlisted.

Hybrid Power generating system Project done by students (with combination of
WIND(15 W) and SOLAR(150 W) )
From Wind & Solar system we are getting 15 W &150 W. Total capacity of the Hybrid
System is 165 W. The power generated from this is being used in Examination branch
Lighting loads the college.

SEWAGE TREATMENT PLANT
Wastewater is anything from water that flows down the sink or toilet to runoff from
snow and rain that enters storm drainage systems. Wastewater treatment processes
remove a variety of contaminants from water to make it usable again.
The benefits of such treatment depend on the nature of the contaminants in the water
and the end use of the water treated.

Extension/Outreach
The National Service Scheme (NSS) is an Indian government-sponsored public service
program conducted by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports of the Government of
India. Popularly known as NSS, the scheme was launched in Gandhiji's Centenary year
in 1969. Aimed at developing student's personality through community service, NSS is a
voluntary association of young people in Colleges, Universities and at +2 level working
for a campus-community (esp. Villages) linkage.

NSS SPECIAL CAMP-2019
(04-02-2019 To 10-02-2019)
Global Institute of Engineering and Technology has conducted one week NSS Special
Camp for its students at adopted Village by Name “CHILKUR” in Moinabad Mandal
,R.R. Dist From 04 Feb 2019 to 10-Feb 2019 where about 50 Students And 6 Faculty
took part in various rural development programs Organized a part Of NSS Special
Camp-2019.
Day 1: INAUGARATION –Enrollment for Voter Id- preparation of village resource
map- inauguration of one week camp was conducted in the presence of Director K. M.
Minhajuddin, Principal Dr. V.V.V.S Murthy, Chilkur sarpanch Mrs. G. Swaroopa
and husband Mr.G.Andrew.

In the morning session students were sent in batches to picture out the resources
available at the village (Water bodies, agricultural land, forest land, religions places,
schools, health center, water tanks) and handed over to the sarpanch.
Villages were made aware about their enrollment as voters by NSS PO and student
teams visited door to door to collect the details of villagers and enrolled 50 of them and
other teams checked for corrections in the present voter ids. The awareness program
included the importance of Right to Vote from local body elections to general elections.
But even after general elections and local body elections we received more than 50 new/
correction in voter ID.

Day 2: 05/02/2019 : AKSHARABYASAM-SIGNTUARE CAMPAIGN
Digital INDIA-AGAINST THUMB IMPRESSION AS A PART OF DAY 2 NSS CAMP
Villagers of CHILKUR were thought how to sign their name by the students and NSS
PO of GIET on the name of AKSHARABYASAM. Students campaigned against
ANTI- THUMB IMPRESSION.

Day 3- 21/03/2018:
MEDICAL CHECKUP – FREE MEDICINE DISTRIBUTION (VITAMIN SUPPLEMENTS)
Medical Camp was conducted near Anganwadi Chilkur School by the NSS UNIT with
the support of
Dr. Vishal Pandey around 75 villagers underwent general health checkups vitamin
supplements where freely distributed along with ORS packets, glucose packets.

Day 4-22/03/2018: CHILD LABOUR AWARNESS
A rally was conducted by the unit on theme of “PEDDAVALU PANIKI-PILLALU
BADIKI” to create awareness about zero child labour and legal approach.
Few acts in government has explained to villagers on awareness about child labour.

To bring awareness in villagers our students has done YOGA with villagers has

Our NSS Unit has successfully conducted few competitions like caroms, running,
kabaddi,
Kho - Kho, lemon &spoon in ANGANWADI school after that our GIET NSS UNIT
has distributed books & school bags, in presence of village sarpanch Mr. Gopal
Reddy
Day 7: Anti Tobacco and Anti Alcohol Campaign
Medication alone own cannot overcome an alcohol & tobacco addiction. But treatment
such as counseling, self-help groups like NSS UNITS, can develop recovery skills and
relapse prevention techniques has been proven to increase the chances of overcoming
alcoholism.
