Cleaning TIme Label each item in the picture below that might be used to
clean your home. As a bonus tell your parents what you would do to help clean your house. Each
time that you name an item, say 4 words from your word list(s).
Who’s ready for school? Name all of items that you need for school in the picture below.

Did someone say yoga? It’s time for some fun and relaxation. Use 5 of your
favorite yoga poses or stretches to help you relax. Before you do a stretch, say
5 words from your word list(s).
Moana Meets the World Moana is lonely and wants to
meet some new friends. Name a new friend from a movie/tv
show that she can play with. (eg. Mulan,Woody,Nemo,Power
Rangers, Wonderwoman, etc.) Each time you name a friend, say 3 words from your word list(s).
Oink, Oink, Moo, Name the farm animals from the
picture below. Each time you name a farm animal, say 3 words
from your word list(s).
Yummy Pizza! Pretend to create your own pizza and tell your parents what toppings you would like. You can use play-doh
or draw a picture. Each time you pick a delicious topping say 4 words from your word
list(s).
Teddy Bear, Teddy Bear Turn Around
Go to your room and grab your teddy bear or baby doll. Each
time you turn around in a circle find a pair of pants, hat, shoes, socks, jacket, shorts, and shirt. Each time you find a clothing item, say 5 words from your
word list(s).
The sun in the sky is a beautiful yellow. Go outside and find 10
objects that are not yellow. (eg. red car, purple flower)
Each time you find an item that is not yellow, say 5 words from
your word list(s).
It’s raining toys, oh my! Go into your room,
playroom, or toy chest and find 10 toys. Sort your toys by colors (eg. blue block,
blue hot wheels car, yellow ball, yellow bus). Sort 2
items and then say 5 words from your word list(s).

Week 4

---FOOD---
Describing Help your family get ready for mealtime by setting the table. Use your smooth speech to list
the items you need. Then, describe the process of setting
the table (First, Next, Then, Last). Make sure to pause after each
direction.
Hands-On Activity Create a dish! Make a family favorite or be creative and
make a new recipe. Practice easy into your speech tell what ingredients you used, how you
cooked your dish, and your critique of the final product.
Read a Story Read or listen to a reading of The Very Hungry Caterpillar. Practice making sentences to describe what the Caterpillar eats using smooth speech by stretching out your sounds. Then, practice retelling the
story. Make sure to take pauses to make your speech
slow and smooth
Imagination Imagine different silly voices or use the attached worksheet for
ideas. Practice changing your speech to say the sentence “I like bananas” with different voices.
Notice how you are able to change your speech- our goal
when caught up in bumpy speech moments!
Go Outside Pack a picnic and eat outside. Using smooth speech, list the
items you need to pack in your picnic basket. What do you like about eating outside? What do
you not like? Remember to stretch out our sounds to create
smooth speech.
Play a Game With a partner, collect five different foods. Take turns tasting and guessing a food
while covering your eyes- No peeking! Use smooth speech to make your guess. Then, make a
sentence about the food you tasted.
Sorting Use the attached pictures to sort fruits and vegetables. Then, sort them based on food you like and
don’t like. Practice making a sentence about each item before sorting it into its category (what it looks like, what it tastes like). Remember to stretch out your sounds to make your sentence
smooth!
Sing a Song Practice telling the nursey
rhyme of Humpty Dumpty while using smooth speech. Think about your rate by slowing down and pausing during
breaks. Then, think of way to put the egg back together.
Practice smooth speech when sharing your idea.
Colors Put different colored markers in a hat. With a partner, take
turns pulling a marker from the hat. List as many foods as you can that are the same color as the marker drawn. (EX: yellow:
banana, pineapple, lemon). Ease into your words with light touches. Try making a smooth
sentence- refer to the attached reminder to take your time to
help make smooth speech!

Charades Play Emotions Charades with your
student. Draw 6 emotions on paper (happy, sad, mad, surprised, tired,
silly) or have your student draw them. Choose a picture and act out that
emotion. Direct your student to act out a named emotion.
English Muffin Pizzas Make English Muffin Pizzas together. You
will need English Muffins, tomato sauce/paste, cheese, toppings.
Follow these directions. 1) Toast English Muffins
2) Add tomato sauce, cheese, toppings 3) Bake in oven at 375 for 10 min or until
cheese is melted
Goldfish Patterns Use rainbow colored goldfish to make patterns such as green, red, yellow, or
yellow, yellow, red. Direct your student with the colors to put on a plate. See if
they can continue your pattern.

Play Transportation Bingo!
Have a helper ask you the
wh- questions underneath
the attached pictures. Find
a small object from home to
be a bingo marker. See if
you can get four in a row to
get a Bingo!
Color the attached page. While you color,
have a helper ask you wh- questions about
the coloring page. What do you see in the
sky? What color is your butterfly? Where
are the flowers? If you do not have access
to a printer, draw a picture or find a
coloring page in coloring book and
practice answering wh- questions about the
picture.
Think about the jungle. What
animals would you see in the
jungle? With a helper, answer
some who and what questions
about jungle animals. For
example, who likes to swing in the
tree? Who has a mane? Draw a
picture of one of your favorite
jungle animals.
Play an outdoor guessing
game with a helper. Have
a helper ask questions
about things you would see
outside “What grows on the
ground? Where do birds
make their nests?” See if
you can guess or find the
items to answer the
questions.
We’ve now reviewed “who”, “what” and
“where” questions. Let’s practice
answering all three types of questions. Pick
your favorite book from home to read with
a helper. Your helper should stop and ask
at least 5 who, what, or where questions
while reading the story. Ex: “Where does
the story take place? Who is the story
about? What happened on this page?”
Remember to pay attention to the question
asked!
Let’s pretend to interview
someone! Either call someone on
the phone or find someone in your
house. With a helper, practice
asking them “who, what, where”
questions. Some examples
include: Who do you live with?
What do you like to do? Where do
you live? Where do you like to
go?”
Week 4 Grammar/Syntax Preschool

Use dinner to work on “I want more ____”. Only give the child
a little bit at a time and then wait for them to request more.
Model the full sentence that you want them to use.
Use bubbles to work on plural “s” as well as “more”. Model the
sentence “more bubbles please!” as you play.
Pretend to cook with your child to work on the word the word “in”. Use a pot and put silly things “in” your dish! For example, you can pretend to eat sock stew!
Use your child’s favorite movie to work on the ending -ing. As
you watch together, model sentences about what the characters are doing. For
example, “Dora is singing!”
Show your child the picture below. Help them say two
sentences about the picture.
Play a silly game with your child to practice “off”. You can
practice turning off the lights in the house or take turns taking
things off a table.
Use mealtime to work with your child on describing things. For example, “green vegetables”,
“yummy chicken”.
Read a book with your child. Make it fun by creating funny character voices or asking them to pretend to read pages based on what they
see in the pictures.
Help your child make sentences using the following pronouns:
