6 Ending the Game
Before ending the game, it isrecommended that you save yourprogress. When saving is complete,you can then power off yourNintendo 3DS system.
You can save your progress bytalking to MeTaMo, the informationterminal. When you talk to MeTaMo,press to access the MetaMomenu (p. 10), touch "Save", thenselect your save file.

10 Story Mode Gameplay
The story begins in Pacifica. Youcontrol Van Yamano as he heads todifferent destinations. The story willprogress through conversations andbattles. The character you controlcan be changed depending on thesituation.

12 Facilities You Can Use
There are many facilities you canuse in the city, such as shops andCapsule Toy vending machines.There are some facilities that willonly become available as youprogress through the game.
You can buy items and performmaintenance on your LBX here. Amenu will appear on the TouchScreen when you talk to the shopassistant.
BuyYou can purchase LBX parts,weapons, and items to use inbattles. First, select the items youwant to buy; then set the amount ofeach item you want to buy.
SellSell LBX parts, weapons, and itemsto receive Credits (the in-gamecurrency). This works in the sameway as purchasing items: select theitems you wish to sell, then set theamount you want to sell.

MaintenanceThe Maintenance Gage of the LBXwill decrease each time you battle.When the Maintenance Gage isempty, your LBX will gain fewerTune-up Points. If you select"Maintenance" from the shop menu,you can restore the MaintenanceGage for free.

Use your Credits aCapsule Toy vendinmachines, located ivarious areas of Tokioto buy capsules with LBparts inside. You can check the listof available parts on the upperscreen.
When you collect LBCards, you will be ablto play an LBX CarBattle in the Arcadefighting against the LBon the cards. Collect the LBX Cardsand fight in sequence. If you win allthe battles, you will gain LBX partsand LBX Cards.

15 LBX Parts/Equipping Parts
The name and information of eachpart will be displayed. AC (ArmorClass) shows the strength of theparts. Armor Class increases withTune-up Points won during battle.The information to the right of ACshows grade (upper left), character(upper right), current armormodification state (lower left), andweight (lower right).

Parts have typesuch as Strideframe and Brawlframe; eaccharacter has theown specialist frame. When youequip your LBX with the completeframe, it triggers a special ability,such as an increase in movementspeed. There are also characterswhose special ability is triggered bytheir specialist weapon or by certainparts.
♦ When an LBX is in a certaincondition during a battle, it cantrigger a Special Mode.
♦ There are characters that do nothave a specialist frame or SpecialMode.
There are skills (such as )attached to HG and TG parts. Speedrating increases when the same skillparts are equipped on all five areasand the same skill weapon is alsoequipped.
♦ Skills will only be triggered whenyou equip certain weapons.

16 Equipping Weapons
You can equip a weapon on theright hand, and a shield on the lefthand.
Just like equipping LBX parts, touchthe position you wish to equip onthe Touch Screen, select theweapon, then either drag it intoplace or press .
Weapon A and Weapon BAn LBX can be equipped with twosets of weapons (Weapon A andWeapon B) that you can switchbetween during battle. Equipweapons that suit your battle style,such as spike weapons (A) for closerange and guns (B) for long rangeattacks.
AttributesWeapons and Special AttackRoutines (p. 17) all have certaindamage types; some weapons andSpecial Attack Routines also haveelemental attributes. LBX parts areeither resistant or weak to certaindamage types and elementalattributes. If a part receives an

17 Special Attack Routines
Special Attack Routines are attackroutines you can use while in battle.By increasing your weapon level(p. 20) through battles, you willlearn many attack routines.
You can set up to four SpecialAttack Routines on each LBX. First,select "Special Attack Routines",choose an attack routine, and thenset its button configuration. Thereare two sorts of Special AttacRoutines: Speci and Sup .

18 Loadouts
When your customized LBX isfinished, you can name and save itas a favourite.
The following options will beavailable for Loadouts.
♦ You can delete the selectedLoadout at any time by pressing.
EquipThe Loadouts you save will appearin a list. If you select one from theLoadout list, you can equip it to theLBX you are currently using.
RenameChange the names of previouslysaved Loadouts. Naming them afterthe types of equipment they usemay make them easier to remember.
RecordSave your current customized LBX(up to a maximum of 30). Choosewhere you want to save it. You cancreate a name for the Loadout hereas well.

19 Core Units
Core Units are the interior parts ofthe LBX. There are five differenttypes; each type of Core Unit has adifferent function. Depending onwhich Core Units you use, yourLBX's BP and strongest weapontype may change.

21 Getting Ready for Battle

23 Battle Gameplay
There are various types of LBXbattle regulations. Regulations willbe shown before the battle; checkand confirm them, and then start thebattle.
RegulationsRegulations are the rules set foreach battle. You cannot useweapons or items that violate theregulations.
♦ The Stun status effect (p. 16) canonly be used when theregulations are set to Unlimited.
When you win a battle, you will gainexperience and the MaintenanceGage will only decrease slightly. Youmay also gain items, depending onthe battle.
BreakdownWhen you receive damage and yourLP hits zero, your LBX will breakdown. Depending on theregulations, your Maintenance Gagemay empty and you will not gain anyexperience from the battle.
