FortZED includes

• More than 7,000 customers—residential and commercial

• 8 distribution feeders (transmits electricity from the generation station to the customer)

• Approximately 45 MW peak demand, we’ll reduce this peak demand by 20%-30%

• Over 200,000 MWh/year usage in the area

• FortZED represents about 10% - 15% of Fort Collins Utilities’ distribution system

FortZED – RDSI Project

• 2 of 8 feeders serving FortZED area

• Peak Demand: ~7-8 MW/feeder (1/3rd of FortZED

• Captures both of the GS750 customers and all customer classes

• Serves as cross-cutting jump-start demo for FortZED

FortZED represents about 10% - 15% of FCU’s distribution system in terms of energy consumption, peak demand, and number of customers
