1. Embed informationliteracy into the curriculum
Create modules or tool-kits for faculty integration intoclasses and Canvas.Redesign LLS 1010 as a focused researchclass, specifically targeting students in capstone courses. Administer follow-up survey for faculty on informationliteracy instruction desired outcomes.Increase librarian presence in classes. Create CLO's for all LLS-prefix classes, aligned with PLO's.Increase faculty requests for workshops using primarysources and special collections.Participate in GE assessments related to critical thinkingand information literacy.
2. Expand resources andenhance services
Expand tutoring services to online and remote locations.Build infrastructure for digital collections.Guide development of open educational resources oncampus.Pursue PTRC (Patent and Trademark Resource Center)library designation.Create sustainable practices in collection development,responsive to the curriculum and based on user needs.Implement supplemental instruction in partnership withstudent services. Stakeholder Input andFeedback
Library & Learning Services receives input and feedback on ourresources and services both directly and indirectly. User surveys areconducted regularly, and evaluation and feedback forms are availableonline. Library & Learning Services also receives input and assistancefrom the L&LS Committee comprised of faculty and studentgovernment representatives. This input, along with data from a variety of sources, guides decisionmaking and resource allocation. Progress toward goals and a focuson continuous improvement is accomplished through a robustassessment plan. Annual reports are also prepared every year,highlighting achievements and progress toward goals. Library & Learning Services employ the 2018 ACRL Standards forLibraries in Higher Education, and we report data to ACRL/IPEDS.
