PLANT TYPECOOLING SYSTEM FOR ROWS OF RACKS (hot / cold aisle)COOLSIDE EVO units are placed in the rows of racks that are arranged so as to obtainalternate cold and hot aisles.Electronic equipments contained in racks independently provide to aspire the necessary airfor cooling.

- In the hot aisle rack expels the hot air used to cool the electronic components whileCOOLSIDE EVO draws the hot air to be cooled.- In the cold aisle COOLSIDE EVO blow the filtered and cooled air while the rack

draws cold air to cool the electronic components.

Framework in galvanized steel sheet externally painted with epoxy powders.

Panels in galvanized steel sheet externally painted with epoxy powders and internallyinsulated with noise absorption material.

 Access doors. The doors are equipped with handle with security lock.

Colour:- Similar to RAL7015.

 Air flow:- B3 / B6 size – Cooling system for rows of racks:

o  Air intake from the back side through honeycomb type grille and frontal airdelivery through honeycomb type grille.

- B3L / B6L size – Direct cooling system of racks:o  Air intake from side through honeycomb type grille and air delivery from side

through honeycomb type grille.

FILTER SECTION

Washable air filters with G2 efficiency, with cells in synthetic fibre, on air suctionpanel.

Differential pressure switch on the air side for clogged filters signal.

EVAPORATING SECTIONHeat exchanger coil with internally corrugated copper tubes and high efficiencyaluminium fins, specifically developed to provide high heat transfer and lowerpressure drops.

Frame in galvanized steel.

Condensate tray in peralluman.

FANS SECTION

Centrifugal fans with backward curved blades, single suction and without scrollhousings (Plug-fans), directly coupled to brushless type synchronous EC motor withintegrated electronic commutated system and continuous variation of the rotationspeed. The motor rotation control is obtained with the EC system (ElectronicCommutation) that manage the motor according to the 0÷10V proportional signalcoming from the microprocessor control.

Rotalock valves on liquid and suction line placed on bottom side of the unit forcoupling to remote motocondensing unit.The COOLSIDE EVO DX 040 (size B6 / B6L) is equipped with one Rotalock valve onliquid line and two Rotalock valves on suction line. The refrigerant connectionforesee a single liquid line and a double suction line to ensure the lubricant oil returnto the compressor.

R 410A refrigerant charge.

ELECTRICAL PANELExtractable electrical panel, in accordance with EN60204-1 norms, complete with:

Power supply with 10A plugs.

Magnetothermic switch on power supply

Microprocessor system with graphic display for control and monitor of operating andalarms status. The system includes:- Voltage free contact for remote general alarm.- Main components hour-meter.- Non-volatile “Flash” memory for data storage. - Menu with protection password.

- LAN connection.

WARNINGIt is necessary to provide the refrigerant charge for the connection pipes to the remotemotocondensing unit.

OPTIONAL ACCESSORIES – COOLSIDE EVO  DXB3L / B6L size – Cooling system for rows of racks:- Air intake from the back side through honeycomb type grille and frontal air

delivery through honeycomb type grille.

Condensate drain system that includes pump with activation float, 4 linear meters

long discharge pipe and high water level alarm.Floor water presence alarm through sensor to be placed on the floor.

 Additional underfloor water sensor kit.

 Additional remote temperature sensor to install in rack containing “critical” devicesthat need for local control of the temperature (max cable length 12m).

Timed stop of the unit. The accessory includes a button that allows the temporaryshutdown of the unit (for example for quick maintenance / setting on the equipmentcontained in racks) and automatic restart after 15 minutes. A further press of thebutton allows the immediately restart of the unit.

Refrigerant connection on the upper side of the unit.

Single suction line for COOLSIDE EVO DX 040 (size B6 / B6L). The system includestwo “suction line collectors”  to install on evaporating indoor unit and outdoormotocondensing unit . See chapter “Typical installation diagrams”. (Please contactRC GROUP commercial department for a technical testing).

Ultrasonic humidifier with combined temperature / humidity sensor on unit air intake.Double power supply (230/1/50 network + 230/1/50 UPS).

Plenum on air delivery with air flow diverter fins. The optional is available only for B3,B3L, B6, B6L versions with frontal air delivery.

COMPRESSORMotocondensing unit model MCAI 10:

Twin rotary hermetic compressors “DC inverter” type optimized for R410A refrigerant. Motocondensing unit models MCAI 20 / MCAI 40:

Orbiting spiral (SCROLL) hermetic compressors “DC inverter” type with spiral profileoptimized for R410A refrigerant.

Common characteristics:

Inverter driven brushless type electric motor.

CONDENSING COIL

 All-aluminium microchannel heat exchanger coil, specifically developed to providehigh heat transfer and lower pressure drops.Moreover microchannel technology reduces the weight of the component and therefrigerant charge.

FANS SECTION

 Axial fans with sickle-shaped blades, fan guard and optimized for low noise levels.

Brushless type synchronous EC motor with integrated electronic commutated systemand continuous variation of the rotation speed. The motor rotation control is obtainedwith the EC system (Electronic Commutation) that manage the motor according tothe 0÷10V proportional signal coming from the microprocessor control.

LAN NETWORK AND BMS CONNECTIVITY

COOLSIDE EVO DX + MCAI direct expansion system (mono-split or multi-split system)

The LAN network is used to connect external motocondensing unit to their internalevaporating units. It is not possible to carry out the LAN connection to the other system of theplant.

Each indoor unit is equipped with terminal having graphic display and keyboard. The externalmotocondensing unit is not equipped with terminal. All operating parameters are still visibleand can be set by each terminal of the indoor units.However, there is a RJ45 socket on the condensing unit's electrical panel for connecting aterminal to the personnel of the service.Hardware interfaces for connection to building management systems (BMS) are optionalaccessories of the motocondensing unit and are installed in the electrical panel.
