Key words: change curriculum, the 2013 curriculum, teacher’s perception
The curriculum change is one of some effort to increase education quality.
Therefore, on July 15th
2013, Muhammad Nuh (Ministry of education and culture
of Indonesia) published the new curriculum. It is the 2013 curriculum. The 2013
curriculum is development of 2004 curriculum based competence includes
competence of attitude, skill and knowledge with an integrative thematic concept
which is the evaluation based on process and result. The success of the
implementation of the 2013 curriculum is influenced by some factor, one of them
is teacher’s perception on the 2013 curriculum. The Teacher’s perception on the
2013 curriculum is the information, image, values, expectations, theories, and
assumption about the 2013 curriculum that teachers understand, belief, and bring
with them into the classroom. Therefore, positive or negative teacher’s perception
on the 2013 curriculum will influence how they implement the 2013 curriculum in
the classroom.
The objective of the research is to find out the teacher’s perception on the
2013 curriculum in SMK PGRI 1 Mejobo Kudus.
The design of this research is descriptive qualitative research. This
research was conducted in SMK PGRI 1 Mejobo Kudus. The instrument of this
research is questionnaire that given to 30 teachers in SMK PGRI 1 Mejobo
Kudus.
Based on the questionnaire that has been distributed, the writer founded
out that teacher’s perception about the lesson plan of the 2013 curriculum in SMK
PGRI 1 Mejobo Kudus is positive (73%), teacher’s perception about the material
of the 2013 curriculum in SMK PGRI 1 Mejobo Kudus is positive (87%),
teacher’s perception about teaching and learning process of the 2013 curriculum
in SMK PGRI 1 Mejobo Kudus is positive (70%), teacher’s perception about the
evaluation of the 2013 curriculum in SMK PGRI 1 Mejobo Kudus is positive
(53%), and teacher’s perception on the 2013 curriculum, overall, in SMK PGRI 1
Mejobo Kudus is positive (80%).
The change curriculum is unavoidable matter in education world. The
change curriculum is needed in order to gain a better education achievement.
Therefore, teachers should be wiser to face the change curriculum. Their positive
perception will help them be more ready faced the change curriculum and make
them more optimist to learn and to search more information about the new
curriculum. So, they are able to implement the new curriculum correctly.

Pergantian kurikulum merupakan salah satu upaya untuk meningkatkan
kualitas pendidikan. Oleh karena itu, pada 15 Juli 2013, Muhammad Nuh
(Menteri Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan Indonesia) mengeluarkan kurikulum baru
yaitu kurikulum 2013. Kurikulum 2013 adalah pengembangan dari kurikulum
2004 atau kurikulum berbasis kompetensi (KBK) yang mencakup kompetensi
sikap, keterampilan, dan pengetahuan secara tematik yang penilaiannya
berdasarkan pada proses dan hasil. Sukses tidaknya pelaksanaan kurikulum 2013
dipengaruhi beberapa faktor, salah satunya adalah persepsi guru terhadap
kurikulum 2013. Persepsi guru terhadap kurikulum 2013 adalah informasi,
gambaran, nilai, harapan, teori, dan asumsi tentang kurikulum 2013 yang para
guru mengerti, percayai, dan mereka bawa / terapkan kedalam kelas. Sehingga
positif atau negatifnya persepsi guru terhadap kurikulum 2013 akan
mempengaruhi bagaimana mereka mengimplementasikan kurikulum 2013
tersebut di kelas.
Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui persepsi guru terhadap
kurikulum 2013 di SMK PGRI 1 Mejobo Kudus.
Desain penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Penelitian ini
dilaksanakan di SMK PGRI 1 Mejobo Kudus. Instrumen dalam penelitian ini
adalah angket yang diberikan penulis kepada 30 guru di SMK PGRI 1 Mejobo
Kudus.
Dari angket tersebut, penulis menemukan bahwa persepsi guru tentang
RPP kurikulum 2013 di SMK PGRI 1 Mejobo Kudus adalah positif (73%),
persepsi guru tentang materi kurikulum 2013 di SMK PGRI 1 Mejobo Kudus
adalah positif (87%), persepsi guru tentang proses belajar mengajar kurikulum
2013 di SMK PGRI 1 Mejobo Kudus adalah positif (70%), persepsi guru tentang
penilaian kurikulum 2013 di SMK PGRI 1 Mejobo Kudus adalah positif (53%),
dan secara keseluruhan persepsi guru terhadap kurikulum 2013 di SMK PGRI 1
Mejobo Kudus adalah positif (80%).
Perubahan kurikulum merupakan sesuatu yang tidak dapat kita hindari di
dunia pendidikan. Perubahan kurikulum diperlukan untuk mencapai kualitas
pendidikan yang lebih baik. Oleh karena itu, para guru disarankan agar lebih bijak
dalam menghadapi perubahan kurikulum tersebut. Persepsi positif dari para guru
akan membantu mereka agar lebih siap menghadapi perubahan kurikulum dan
membuat mereka lebih optimis untuk belajar dan mencari informasi lebih banyak
tentang kurikulum yang baru. Sehingga mereka dapat mengimplementasikan
kurikulum yang baru kedalam kelas dengan benar.
