10b. Other Software• Banner• ODS/EDW• Again, we need a computer lab--several that can accommodate 40 student classes.• STATA and SPSS statistical software site licenses, ICPSR data availability, and Endnote (or
another bibliographic) software site license would enhance/ enable student-faculty research.
• I've just noticed that Adobe Creative Suite is available for faculty computers...• maintain “projection" classrooms gets all three of my votes.• Why would you need resources for "communication of technology issues on campus" - not
sure how this would cost more money!• Outlook• Matlab should be installed. Free access to Adobe Acrobat Professional to students and
Faculty• enhanced website-better content management that is more frequently updated, as well as
more varied types of media for promotions (ie. virtual tours and webcasts)• The start-up time of the podium computers in projection classrooms is truly an issue. It
CANNOT take longer to adjust the computer than there is scheduled time between classes. At more than 20 minutes to restart a podium computer, your class is shot. A solution to this must be a priority. If it involves purchasing different security software or other hardware, then so be it. The check for "increased Help Desk availability" really means, increased help from a live person. I'll take either more types of help between 8 and 4:30, or more hours - either would be helpful, both would be ideal.
• Unity• Move to moodle, save some people's jobs with the cost saving.
