WHAT IS A STAR CHART?The STaR Chart is the Texas School Technology and Readiness Chart. It can assist in the measurement of the impact of state and local efforts to improve student learning through the use of technology as specified in No Child Left Behind, Title II, Part D

Development3. Leadership, Administration and
Instructional Support4. Infrastructure for TechnologyEach key area has 6 categories to be

DATA ANALYSISCullen was rated Advanced Tech for the
years 2006-2007 and 2007-2008. In 2008-2009 our classification dropped to Developing Tech.
WHAT CAN WE DO TO BOOST OUR RATING?
Incorporate technology into our daily lessons.
Create technology related professional developments.
Encourage all staff members to become technology savvy.
CONCLUSIONSThe STaR Chart data can be very useful to
schools and their districts. The survey yields results that can be used for technology planning, resource budgeting, and applying for technology grants. The STaR Chart is like our technology report card. We should try to improve each year until we reach and maintain the Target Tech level.
