prepared to give of their time and work towards further improving our great school.
Harmony Week/Day
Last week was Harmony Week where we celebrated multiculturalism, and the successful
integration of migrants into our community. Harmony Week is about inclusiveness,
respect and belonging for all Australians, regardless of culture or linguistic background
united by a set of core Australian values.
As a school we engaged in activities celebrating Harmony Week during our wellbeing
sessions and then on Monday staff and students arrived at school dressed in the colours
of their heritage or in orange which is the official colour of Harmony Day. We held a
special assembly to celebrate the great work the students had done throughout the
week. Many thanks to parents, students and staff for entering into the spirit of the week
and celebrating our multi-culturalism.
Zimbabwe School Partnership
Through our connection with the Vermont Lions Club, and after much discussion
amongst students and our Student Action Team, we are hoping to raise some much
needed funds for a school in Uganda. The school is called Zengeza 3 High School and is
located in an area called Chitungwiza. They are very much in need of support to continue
the development of their vegetable garden and water.
Along with the Lions Club, we are hoping to raise enough monies to purchase and install
a water tank for the school community garden.
We will be holding a Free Dress and Crazy Hair Day on Friday 5th April to raise funds for
our partner school. ( gold coin donation)
More information is included in this newsletter by our Tyner House Captains, Hannah
and Aedan.
Assembly
Tomorrow is a Learning Celebrations Assembly. We look forward to hearing from

Our Choir and Glee Club will also be performing at assembly tomorrow at 2.45p.m.
Assembly Next Week
Next week is the last week of term and on Friday the 5th we will hold our final assembly
for the term at 2.00p.m. Children will be dismissed from school at 2.30p.m.
Have a fantastic weekend everyone, and …………..

Last year our Chocolate drive and Car Raffle raised enough money to
replace all the chairs in the Multi-purpose room. The chairs are
longer lasting and stack so much better than the old ones!!
Our 2018 first ever “Colour Run’ funded the new seating around the
oval and other outdoor maintenance.
It will be exciting to see what we can achieve this year!
