Jackson himself…
War hero from War of 1812, and Battle of New Orleans. Fought/led in the Seminole Wars. Helped secure Florida as a US possession… almost
caused a war. Fought in duels… had a bullet in his chest next to his heart. Becomes really liked by the “common man”. Andrew Jackson wins the 1828 election in a rematch. His opponent JQA made nasty personal attacks against
Jackson and his wife. Jackson’s wife dies just before he moves into White
House… he will go on a rampage to ruin anyone who had made attacks on his wife.

start… and don’t stop. About this same time, Jackson kills off the Bank of US.
The Indian Crisis
Cotton expansion and gold findings in South lead to pushing Native-Americans West.

Jackson’s last year
• In his last year (1835-1836), Jackson survived an assassination attempt… the first know in US History… he beat the guy down with his cane after the guy misfired twice.
• On the last day of the presidency, Jackson admitted that he had but two regrets, that he "had been unable to shoot Henry Clay or to hang John C. Calhoun."
