The heart pumps the used blood to the lungs. In the lungs
the lungs enriches the blood of oxygen and it goes back to your heart
and the cycle starts again.
You can hear your heartbeat all the time. It is the valves
opening and closing.

Did you know that blood isn't really red! The
red-blood cells make it look red. A little more than half of
your blood is a yellowish liquid called plasma. The other
parts are floating red-blood cells. Red blood cells are the
cells that take the needs of the cells to each cells. White
blood cells are the cells that protect your blood. There is
one white blood cell in every eight red blood cells.
Working the heart-
Your heart is a
muscle located in
the left of your
chest, it pumpsblood through your
body.
The heartbeat-
Before each heart
beat your heart fills
with blood, after
each pump the red
blood cells race to
your cells.
Plasma a yellowishliquid that takes morethan half of yourblood.
Blood- The red liquidthat circulates in thearteries and veins ofyour body.

Chapter 4: Keep the Circulatory System Healthy
These are four tips for keeping the circulatory system healthy
1. You need to exercise You need to be active and do sports for at least
30 minutes a day. For example, you can jump rope, dance, or play
soccer. When you exercise your heart produces more red-blood cells
than ever so it can give you more oxygen.

blood vessels by making the gas exchange
dirty so your cells get sick.

Chapter 5: Ugly Blood Diseases
Sickle cell anemia is an inherited blood disorder that affects mostly
people in Africa. Sickle cell Anemia affects hemoglobin, the protein
found in red-blood cells. They help oxygen through your body. Bone
marrow transplant is the only real cure for Sickle Cell Anemia.
Sickle Cell Anemiaa disease of thecirculatory system thatmakes bloodblockages.

I really liked
researching about the
circulatory system. I think it is
the best system because it
controls all your blood and
makes your cells stay healthy.My favorite part about this
system was thinking about the
great path that the circulatory
system. The blood is amazing
because it carries many things.
Its impressive to have
miniature things carrying all
the things your cells need.
Definitely with no blood you
wouldn't live.
