FBC Goal: $48,000 Southern Baptist churches collect the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering for the sole purpose of supporting missionaries sent by churches through IMB. Every penny of the offering goes to IMB’s overseas budget. The Lottie Moon Christmas Offering provides the largest portion of IMB’s income — 54 percent.
Lottie Moon support made it possible for IMB missionaries, working with their ministry partners around the globe, to communicate the Gospel to more than 1.4 million people, lead more than 337,000 people to faith in Christ, baptize 266,451 new believers and start more than 24,000 churches, according to IMB’s most recent annual statistical report (2011).

Lift High the Cross!
Last week over 20,000 churches across
America gained access to the long
awaited message from Dr. Billy
Graham – the centerpiece of the “My
Hope America” project. In his monthly prayer letter
Franklin Graham, Billy’s son, reveals the origin of this
message.
Sometime after my mother died, when I
visited my father, I began to notice
Scripture verses appearing all over the
house—on an index card taped to the
kitchen telephone, on a marker board in his
study, even on a hand-lettered poster in his
bedroom. It became clear that all of the
verses were about the cross. One said,
“God forbid that I should boast except in
the cross of our Lord Jesus
Christ” (Galatians 6:14, NKJV). The Lord
had put it in his heart that if he ever was
physically able to share a message again,
he would speak about the cross, and he was
determined to saturate his mind with the
Scripture. Now God has given my father
the opportunity—not in a stadium Crusade,
but through a special television program
called The Cross.
Over the past several months, Dr. Graham has been working
with a video crew in his home to film a brand-new telecast
that will air on cable networks beginning November 7 (his
95th birthday) and in thousands of Christian’s homes via
DVD. It’s a tremendously powerful program that has his
message interwoven with captivating testimonies of lives
changed by the living Christ.
What a privilege for our church to be involved in this
nationwide outreach! We partner with Dr. Graham on what
is very likely his last message to America! Not only is this
historical, it is critical. Please pray for our “Matthews” as
they prepare to invite their unsaved friends and neighbors
into their homes to view The Cross. Please prayerfully
consider assisting them by offering your home, some
refreshments and your prayer support. If you would like to
help, please contact the church office.
Prayer is the key. Pray for open doors, open hearts and
open mouths!
Humbled and Thankful for The Christ of The Cross,

Has the age of Methuselah - 969 years - ever caused you to scratch your head in wonderment? Have you ever wondered. . .
Where dinosaurs came from and where they went? How the Grand Canyon was made?
How and why glaciers were formed? And after all where did all those fossils come from?
The Bible says that God created the world in six days. Modern science says that it took billions of years for creation as we know it to evolve. What’s a Christian to believe? Are you confused by what your Bible says and what you were taught in science class? Come join us for a faith building study as we explore things the Bible explains that modern science can not.
