WRITINGShort Play- OrganizationOur Story is about young inventors creating a special machineThink about something that could be invented. You are going to write a short play about your idea
Writing• Make a list of useful inventions that
could solve problems or make life easier:
• A machine that saves time on homework
• A machine that transports you anywhere in an instant
• A machine that changes trash into energy
Writing• Now that you have selected a topic,
brainstorm ideas for a play.• Let me show you an example on how
to organize your story.• I will use the story sequence chart to
show you.
Writing• In my story chart I will write the
names of my characters: Dana, Roberto who are working on an invention together
• The setting will be Dana’s parents’ garage
• The first event I will list has to do with Dana and Roberto discussing what to do with all the garbage.
WritingWhat can they do next? Roberto suggests it would be great if a machine could take care of it for them.Dana gets an idea.
Today, during small group instruction you will work on your organization of your play.
