Creator Spirit, come Visit the souls that are Yours; Fill with heavenly grace The hearts that you created You are called Paraclete The gift of God most high, Spring of life, fire, love And the soul’s anointing You with sevenfold gifts, The finger of the Father’s right hand, The clear promise of the Father, Giving tongues the grace of speech Kindle a light in our minds, Pour love into our hearts, And the frailty of our human nature Uphold with your unfailing strength Drive our enemy far from us And give us always the gift of peace. With your grace guiding us in this way, May we avoid all that is evil Through you may we know the Father, And may we also know the Son, And in you, the Spirit of them both, May we believe forevermore Amen
