From the Ferry front:
• SARATOGA – running like a dream and set to get new seats and carpets soon!
• CODOCK II – all through survey with no issues – great work George!
• EXPLORER – undergoing an extensive renovation- due to the amount of work, we
envisage it will be ready for day cruises next year – hopefully early!

can we have access to integrated ticketing ie MyZone – we tried!!!
Local News- sad to see Pat & Michael of IGA Saratoga , leave after 13 wonderful years
servicing our peninsula. Pat & Michael have always been heavily involved in our

efforts to assist those in our community who needed help! We will miss your happy faces
– enjoy your retirement! ( Bet is doesn’t last long?)
Other news – on the Hawkesbury River there are 2 new operators – 1 is operating the

Davistown Putt Putt Regatta Sun 21 Oct 2012
You Beauty, It's Back!
The iconic Davistown Putt Putt Regatta & Wooden Boat Festival is back again in 2012 after a two year spell!
Sunday 21st October
Following a break in 2011, the Lions Club of Green Point Avoca accepted with vigour the challenge to revive this much
loved and well attended Festival to the people of the Central Coast in 2012. The Lions Club of Green Point Avoca has
some experience in the task often applauded for presenting numerous large community projects over recent years.
Committee secretary, Garry Galvin said: “The challenge this year was to organise the Putt Putt Regatta and Wooden
Boat Festival to the same standard established over the past 15 years. Our goal to gain the confidence of participants –
both stallholders and boat owners”.
“I’m satisfied this has been achieved as the event has attracted a strong group of diverse stallholders itching to display
their wares and entertain the spectators in tandem with a plethora of boats to provide the on-water spectacle. In
addition, there is a strong line-up of local entertainers all who are looking forward to strutting their stuff on stage. Our
club is confident that no-one will go away from the event not having had a pleasing day.”
The Davistown Putt Putt Regatta & Wooden Boat Festival 2012 promises to uphold tradition as one of the significant
community and tourism events on the Central Coast, providing another spectacular pleasure filled day of family fun,
aquatic activity and entertainment.
