of Rubbish


We put rubbish in the rubbish bin


The refuse collectors put it in a special lorry


Off to the rubbish centre and into containers


The containers travel by lorry or train to landfill sites


Landfill sites are where great big holes are dug in the ground and the rubbish is put in


When the holes are full, special chemicals are put on the rubbish and covered over with soil


Problems with Landfill Sites

Take up a lots of space

Last a long time

Cause disease and pollution
